TO READ SUNDAY'S
TEM ITERANCE SERMON
Fifth Street Methodist Episcopal
Church has an unusual program for
to-morrow. The Rev. B. H. Hart, the
minister, has secured the written per
mission of William A. Sunday, the
great evangelist, to read two of his
most noted discourses. These will not
be given in place of the regular ser
mons. Mr. Sunday is perhaps the
most talked about man In America
and as truly as in the days of the
apostles, whole cities are turned up
side down. His great sermon on "Get
on the Water Wagon," which was de
livered to twenty thousand men last
Sunday in Pittsburgh, while as many
thousands failed to gain admittance,
has literally done that thing. Pitts
burgh's two leading dailies, the Ga
zette-Times and the Chronicle-Tele
graph on the Tuesday following an
nounced editorially that no more
liquor advertisements would appear in
those papers. This sermon will be
read to-niorrow evening at 7.30. Mrs.
Frank Smiley will sing with violin
obligato by Will Myers. Mr. Sunday's
sermon to mothers will be read at the
10.30 service. At all the services there
will be special musical numbers.
The Sunday school with missionary
offerings will meet at 2 p. m. Miss
Mary V. Turner and Professor A.
llartman will sing at this service.
The Rev. Mr. Campbell and Profes
sor Rockwood, of the Minges Evan
gelistic Company, now holding special
services In the Church of Christ, will
meet with the Epworth at 6.30 and
will speak and sing. The Junior Lea
gue will meet at 3 o'clock. A praise
and experience meeting will be held
at H. 30 in the morning.
PREACHERS TO TELL OF
BIG MOSLEM RALLIES
Special notices will be given to-mor
row in a majority of local churches
and Sunday schools of the Moslem
Missionary Campaign meetings in
Grace Methodist Episcopal Church
next Friday. Two-color posters an
nouncing the event have been dis
tributed generally among clergymen
and are hanging In conspicuous places
in church buildings, and scores have
also been stuck upon small oillboards
all over the city. Both meetings will
be free to everyone.
James W. Barker, chairman of the
local committee of arrangements, is
of the opinion that next Friday's
meetings will be about the biggest
missionary rallies of such a nature
ever witnessed here.
i The local meetings will be two in
| number, one at 4 p. m. and one at
; 7.30 p. m. All three of the speakers
who are coming here under the aus
pices of the World's Sunday School
Association will speak at each meet
ing. They are Marion Lawrance, gen
eral secretary of the association; the
Rev. Dr. S. M. Zwemer, missionary
to Egypt, and the Rev. Stephen R. van
Trowbridge, missionary to Turkey.
