has preserved our books,. papers 'and cash
in usifood a condition as they were
when put into it, before the great fire of
this morning, which destroyed the entire
block of buildings corner of Chestnut and
Fifth streets.- The safe was in use in our
office, on the second floor of our building,
from which place it fell into the cellar, and
remained there until the fire was out.—
The Safe was then removed and opened
n the presence of at least 1000 persons,
who witnessed the good condition of the
contents. Will you please have the safe
and locks' repaired, as we intend to put it
in tvie again, having perfect confidence in.
