pers, &e., from fire, as the one we pur
chased from you about seven months since
.has preserved our IMOkO. papers and cash
in:: .as gond a condition as they were
when put into it, before the great -fire of
,this morning, which destroyed the entire
,block of buildings_corner of Cliestnut,,and
Fifth streets. The sale was in use in our
on,the Recoil(' floor of our building,
&OM' whiell place it fell inuithe cellar, and
remained tliere Mail the fire was out.—
The Safe . was then removed and opened
jitt the,Prosemett of at least 1000 persens,
‘v ho witnessed she good condition of the
contehts. Will you please have. the safe
and leeks' repaired, as we intend to put it
in use again, having perfect confidence is,
its fire-proof qualities.
