A CURIOUS ReeNS IN A COURT-RnaN.
The members of the bar in Henry county,
Indiana,' have presented a petition to the
Circeit court. asking the Prelideht Judge
—Anthony—.to resign. Judge Anthony
received the petition, and each meMber of
the bar in succession addressed the court
in favor of the. petition, stating that in case
he would 'hot resign, the petitioners had
earned among themselves that they would
not do any business in the court so long
as he presided. The Judge with perfect

think about it, and in the meantime would
proceed to business. In the atiormam the
jury also acted 'him to resign, when the
_lawyers proposed to hint that if he wOuld
agree in writing never' to Moine to that
county, again for the purpose of holding
command would send some onein his place.
they would be content to drop the matter:l

Judge finally promised never to come to
the county again with the purpose nt hold

The cause of the feeling ag; lust him is
