MURDER AT LOUISVILLE.—On
Wednesday morning week, Matthew F.
Ward.'and his brother, Robert Ward, went
armed to the Louisville ugh School fur
the purpose of being avengod upon one of
the 'feathers, Mr. Wm. Butler, for the
chastisement of a younger brother or. the
day previous. Matthew F. Ward drew a
pistol and shot Mr. Butler ; the ball enter
ing his left breast. He staggered and fell
mortally wounded. The whole took place
in about two minutes After the entrance of
the Wards into the room. Robert Ward

ved toward the other teacher, Mr. Sturgus.
