and tippling in ale-bousee, tavern, or other pub.
lie holm or place, on the first day of the week,
commonly called Sunday, or any part thereof,
shall. for every offence, forfeit and pay uoe shil
ling and sixpence to any constable that shell de
mand the same, to the WM of the poor ; and all
coustabise are hereby empowered and, by virtue
of their office, required to search public houses
and places suspected to entertain such tipplers, and
them, when kilned: quietly to disperse ; but in
caws of refusal. to bring the persons so refusing
before the nest justice of the peace, who may com
mit such offendets to the stocks, or bind them to
their good behavior, as to him shall seem requisite.
And the keepers of such ale-houses, taverns, or
ether public house or place, as shall countenance
or tolerate any such practices, being convicted
thereof by the view of a single magistrate, his
own conaion, or the proof of one or more credi
ble witnesses, shall, for every offence, forfeit and
pay ten shillings, to be "recovered as and for the
mss abovessid.

ovens. Any person wanting Bleu stoves
delivered, by leaving word at either of the
above mentioned Places, the proprietor
will deliver them at a short notice, u he

himself. He is confident that he can give
people better satisfaction than hired peed
tars. There are already upwards of SIX
HUNDRED of the. Lubeck Stoves sold
in York, Adams, and Carroll counties,

late improvements. The improvement is

oven is much easier heated, and Om holes
