The steamer Cambria has arrived at Boston

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY IN FRANCE.—
Some months ago Monsieur Nene. a Protest int
clergyman, delivered a MUMa of lectures in Paris
which gave offence to some who, takini, the ad
vantage of some trifling informality of the Rever
end gentleman. made complaint to the police,
which resulted in clueing his meetings and the
imposition of a flue. M. Pilatte applied to the
...Mit:ism/of Pubic Instruction and Worship," as
king to be informed what formalities were requi
red previous to the opening of ■ place for public
worship. The following is • translation of the
Minister's reply :
Ehs :—You having called my attention
to the circumstances under which your
rneeting, were closed, and wishing to know
in what way the difficulties may be avoid
ed in future, I reply, that in Art. 7, of the
. f.)onstitution of 1848, an equal liberty of
worship is secured to those who do and to
those who do not acknowledge the forms
of worship recognized by law—the only
difference being, that
thethe former and the
latter do not re:deism e salary of their
ministers from the state. "The right you
claim then is inoontestible, and nothing ,
can oppose, the free exercise of your (unc

only be necessary to Make known to the
pollee the place, days and hours of your
meeting, so that themeceseary surveillisnce
may be excereisetd. "Fsm,qux,

Wrigliris Indian Vegetable Pills are
one one of the best of medicines for the
cure of Fevers. because they purge front
the body those morbid humors which are
the cruise or eve n• malady incident to man.
In eases of fever, from four to eight of
Wright's Indian Vegetable Pills should be
taken every night, or, it the symptoms are
violen t, night and . morning. This plan,
if properly carried nut, will, in a short time,
subdue the most violent attack of fever ;
at the same time, the digestive organs will
be restored to a healthy tone, and health
and vigor given to the whole frame.

E advise, on all to go to see STE
VENSON'S NEW GOODS.—
It is worth a visit, to look at his CALI
COES. Ilia whole assortment is well
selected, and his Goods are not only pret
ty hut cheap. Having been purchased late
in the season, when city merAants were
anxious to sell, they were obtained at re
duced prices. His Cotton Goods are re
markably low. Go, then, to ST VEN
