DYSPEPSIA, or Indigestion and its
consequences.—An eminent Profes
sor says: "it chiefly arises in persons who
lead either a very sedentary or Irregular
life. Although not regarded as a fatal di
sease, yet, if neglected, it may bring on in
curable Melancholy, Jaundice, Madness,
or Vertigo, Palsy, and Apoplexy. A great
singularity attendant on it is, that it may
and often does continue a great length of
time without any remission of the symp
toms.
CAUSES.—Grief and uneasiness of
mind, intense study, profuse evacuations,
excess in venery, excessive use of spir
itous liquors, tea, titice°, opium and
other narcotics, immoderate repletion, o
ver distention of the stomach, adeli
eiency in the secretion of the bile or
gastric juice, exposure to cold and damp
air, are the chief causes of this disease.
SYMPTOMS.—Loss of appetite, nau
sea, heart-burn, acidity and fetid eructa
tions, gnawing of the stomach when emp
ty, uneasiness in the throat, pain in the
side, costiveness, chilliness, languor, low
ness of spirits, palpitations, and disturbed
sleep.

curiosity led me to try your medicine in two very
inveterate cases. They were pronounced by the
attending physicians to be rus.moriser yeast. we
aloe, and abandoned by them as incurable. One
of the persons had been under the treatment of
several very able practitioners for a number of
years, and they said she had "old fashioned Cow
:soapier% combined with . Scrojisis,' and that else
might linger for sometime, but could not be per
mskently relieved. In both cases the effect et the
Panacea has been most gratitying. Only four or
