DR. HA LSEY'S GOLD AND SILVER
PILLS are founded upon the principle that near
ly all diseases arise from the same causes, orthat
a morbid condition of the firer, stomach, and boush,
predisposes the system to every class of disease;
When these import ant functions become obstruct•
ed with superabundance of bile and viscid mat
^ ter, Nature ceases to fulfil her proper dace. ,It
is theta that the blood becomes impure, because
the secretive organs of the liver, whose *Mee it
is to separate the worn-out principle of thisivital
fluid are no longer fit for their 'Ace, and the
wasted part of the blood continues therethre in
its circulation and becomes diffused throughout
the whole system. Thus filled 'with infectious
humours the body is made liable to sickness. 11,
by chance, it is exposed to a sudden change in the
weather. a bad cold or consumption would be the
result—it in the vicinity of contagious disorders,
it would i.nbthe the infection.

the bile and viscid matter from the aystem,,and

rendering the blood pure, and divesting HA aye•

FOR DEAFNESS,

the result of a long:and faithfully pursued course
of experiments instituted with the sole view to
discover (if possible) a certain, and, at the same
time, a safe remedy for this dreadfully afflicting
disorder, and after being extensively used in the
private practice of the subscriber during the last
eight years, in very numerous cases with the most
remarkible success, is now offered to the public,
for the benefit of those who, from distanctorother
causes, cannot have the personal attention of the
proprietor, in the 'fullest confidence of its efficacy,
and in the fmn belief that it will not disappoint
the txpectations of those who may haveoceasion

In this medicine several innocent but very po.

forming a compound entirely different in its char
actor and properties from any other preparation,
and unrivalled in its operation on the system
when laboring under disease. It should be in the
hands of every person, who, by bcsiness, or genet..
al course of life, is predisposed to the very many
aliments that render life a curse, instead ota bless
ing, and so often result in death.
FOR SCROFULA, Dr. Drake's Panacea is re
commended as a certain cure. Not one inittance
of its failure has ever occurred when freely used
It cures the disease and at the same time imparts
vigor to the whole system. Scrofulous persons
can never pay too much attention to the state of
their blood. Its purification shonid be their first

FOR ERUPTIONS OF THE SKIN, Scurvy,
Scorbutic Affections, Timm, White Swelling,
Erysipelas, Ulcers, Cancers, Running Sores, Scabs
and Riles, Dr. Drake's Panacea cannot be too high
ly extolled ; it searches out the very root of the
disease, and by removing it from a system, makes
a cure certain and permanent. -
INDIGESTION.—No medicine perhaps has
ever been discovered which gives so much tone
to the stomach and causes the secretion of
healthy gastric juice to decompose the food as Dr
Drake's Panacea.
RHEUEATISM.—Dr. Drake's Panacea is n
eed with the greatest success in Rheumatic Com
plaints, espesially such as are chronic. It cures
by driving out all impurities and foul humours
which have accumulated in the system, which
are the cause of Rlieumatism,Gout, and Swellings
of the joints. Other remedies sometimes give
temporary relief; this entirely eradicates the dis•
ease from the system, even when the limbs and
bones are dreadfully swollen.
CONSUMP TION can be cured. Coughs, Ca.
tarrh, Bronchitis, Spitting of Blood, Asthma, Dif
ficult or protium Expectoration, Hectic Flush,
Night Sweats, Pain in the side, &c., have been
cured, and can be with as much certainty as airy
other simple disease. A specific has long been
sought for but in lain until the discovery of Dr.
Drake's l'anacea. It is mild and sale but certain
and efficacious in its operation, and cannot possi
bly injure the most delicate constitution. We
would earnestly recommend those afflicted to give
it a trial—and we !relive they will nut base OCCII.

To we the language of another, .Dr. Drake's
Panacea is always salutary in its effects—never
injurious. It is not an Opiate—it is not en Ex

into is fatal security. It is a great remedy— a
grand healing mid curative compound, the great
and only remedy which medical science and skill
has yet produced for the treatment of this hithei
to unconquerable malady. And no person afflict
ed with this dreadful disease, will be just to him.

TO THP6 LADlES.—Ladies of pale complex
ion and consumptive Wits, and such as are de
bilitated by those obstructions which females are
liable to, are restored by the use of a bottle or
two, to bloom and vigor. It is by far the best
remedy ever discovered for weakly children, and
such as have bad humors; being pleasant, they
take it. It immediately restores the appetite,
strength andculor.
Nothing can be more surprising than its invig
orating effects on the human frame. Persons all
weakness and lassitude before taking it, at once
become robust and full of energy under its influ
ence. It immediately counteracts the nerveless
