crop generally, and especiall; lor potatoes
and garden purposes,

COMPOSITE FERTILIZER.
This highly phosphate fertilizer, is par
ticularly adapted for the c uhivation of trees
fruirs, lawns and flowers. It will" promote a
very vigorous and healthy growth ot v ood
fruit, and largely increase the quantity and
perfect the maturity of the fruit. For hot
bose and household plan: and flowers, it
will be found an indispensible article to se
cure their greatest perfection. It will pro-'
vent and cure diseased conditions Of the
peach and grape, and is excellent for grass
and lawns.
It is composed of such elements as make
it adapted to the growth of all kinds ol
crops in all kinds of soil.
The totmnla or method of combining it
constituent fertilizing ingredients has re
ceived the highest approval of eminent
chemists and scientific agriculturists.

By authority of the Secretary of the
Treasury, the" undersigned has assumed
the General Subscription Agency, for the
sale of Unit d State Treasury Notes, bear
ing seven and three tenths per cent, inter
est, per annum, known as the
SEVEN THIRTY LOAN.
The-te Notes are issued under date of
August 15th, 1864, and are paable three
years from that time, in currency, or are
convertible at the option of the holder into
IT. S. 5-20 Six per ceut.
GOLD-BEAIilAG BOXDS
These bonds are now worth a premium
of nine per cent., including gold interest
from Nov., which makes the actual profit
on the 7-30 loan, at current rates, inclu
ding iMerest, about ten per cent, per an
num, besides its txtmption from State and
municipal tuxntion, tchich adds from on to
thru pet cent more, according to the rate lev
ied oti other property. The interest is
payabletemi-atnually by coupons attach
ed to each note, which may be cut off and
sold to any bank or banker.

Less than $200,000 000 remain unsold,
which will probably be disposed of within
the next 60 or 90 days, when the notes will
undoubtedly command a premium, as ha
uniformly been the case on closing the
subscriptions to other Loans.
- In order that citizens of every town and
section of the country may be afforded fa
cilities for taking the loar., the National
Banks, State Banks, and Private Bankers
throughout the country have generally
agreed to receive sobscriptioas at par. -Subscribers
wilt select their own agents,
in whom they have confidence, and who
only are to be responsible for the delivery
of tie notes for which thev receive orders.
