contains no mineral of any kind,no deadly

k stomach is ranidlv inviaornted
and the appetite restored by this agreeable
Tonic, and bence it works wonders in ca

forms of Indigestion. Acting as a gentle
and painless apperient, as well as upon
the liver, it also invariably relieves the

action of the digestives and secretive or

. Persons of feeble habit, liable to Nervous
Attacks. Lowness of Spiiils and Fits of Lan

from the' Bitters. The Testimony on this
point is most conclusive, and from both
eexes.
The agony of Bilious Colic is immedi

Ptimulanl and by occasionally resorting to
it, the return of the complaint may be pre

" A's'a General Tonic, Hostetter's Bitters
produce effects which roust be experienced
or witnessed before they can be fully ap
preciated. In cases of Constitutional Weak
ness, nd Premature Deay and Debility
and Decrepitude arifintr from Old Age, it
exercises the electric influence. In the
convalescent stages of all diseases it oper
ates as a delightful invigorant. When the
" powers of nature are relaxed, it operates to
re enforce and re-establish them.
Last, but not Jea?t, it is the The Only
Safe Stimulent, being manufactured from
sound and innocuous materials, and en
tirely free from the acid elements present
more or less in all the ordinary ionics and
stomachics of the day.
No family medicine has been so univer

the community, a Hostetter's Bitters.

IRON IN THE BLOOD.
It is well known to the medical profes
sion that Iron is the'vital Principle or Life
Elemeit of the Hood. This is derived
chiefly from the food we eat ; but if the
focd is not properly digested, or if, from
any cause whatever, the necessary quan
tity of iron is not taken Into the circulation
or becomes reduced, the whole system suf
fers. The bad blood will irritate the heart,
will clog up the longs, will stupefy the
brain, will obstruct the liver, and will send
its disease producing elements to all parts
of the system, and every one w:ll suffer :ih
whatever organ may be predisposed to dis
ease. The great value of
IRON AS A MEDICINE
Is well known and acknowledged by all
medical men. The difficulty has been to
obtain such a preparation of ii as will ea
ter Ihe circulation and assimilate at once
with the blood. This point, says Dr. Hayes,
Massachusetts State Chemist, hat been at
tained in the Peruvian Syrop, by combiaa
lion in a way before unknown.
THE PERUVIAN SYRUP
Is a protected t-oluilon of ihe Protoxide
of Iron. A new discovery in medicine thai

THE PERUVIAN SYRUP

THE PERUVIAN SYRUP

THE PERUVIAN SYRUP

to be the best judges of coffee; and the
great favor in which it is held by them is
ihe best recommendation that can be pro

upon the tinman system.'
We put up but one grade of this coffee,
and that is of a quality that our customers
have found from experience will give per
