The bad blood will irritate the heart, will clog up the lung, will stupefy the brain, will obstruct the liver, and will send its disease producing elements to ail parts of the system, and every one w:ll suffer in whatever organ may be predisposed (o dis ease. The great value of IRON AS A MEDICINE Is welt known and acknowledged by all medical men. The difficulty has been 'to obtain such a preparation of it as will en ter the circulation and assimilate at once with the blood. The Secretary of the Treasury gives no tice that subscriptions will be received for Coupon Treasn'ry Notes, payable three years from Aug. 15ib, 1864, with semi annual interest at the rate of seven and three-tenths per cent, per annum, princi pal and interest both to be 'paid in lawful money. These notes will be convertible at the option of the bolder al maturity, into six per cent, gold' bearing bonds, payable not less than five nor more than twenty years from their dale, as the Governm'ent may elect. They will be issned in denomina tions of jf oSlOO, S500, Sl.000 and 55,000, and all subscriptions must be for fifty dol lars or'aome multiple o( fifty dollars. The notes will be transmitted to the owners free of transportation charges as 'soon after the receipt of the original Cer tificates of Deposit as they can be prepared. As the notes draw interest from August 15lh, persons making deposits subsequent to that date most pay the interest accrued from date' of note to date' of deposit. Parties depositing twenty five dollars and upwards for there notes at any one time will be allowed a commission of one quarter of one per cent., which will be paid by the Treasury Department upon the receipt of a bill for the amount, certi fied to by the officer with whom the de posit was made. No deductions for com missions must be made from the deposits. Special Advantages of this Loan. It is a National Saving Bank, offering a higher rate of interest than any other, and the best security. Any savings bank which pays its depositors in U.S. Notesconsiders that it is paying in the beet circulating me dium of the country, and it cannot pay in anything better, for its'bwn assets are eith er in government securities 'or in notes or bond's payable in government PaPer- ..... It is equally convenient as a temporary or permanent investment. The notes can always be sold for witfuij a fraction of their face and accumulated interest, and are the best security witn banks as collaterals for discounts. Convertibfe into a Six per cent. 5-20 Gold Bond. In addition to the vary liberal interest on the notes for three years, ihis privilege of conversion is'now worth about three per cent, per annum, for the enrrent rate for 5-20 Bonds is not less than nine per cent, -premium, and before the war the premium on six percent. United States Stock was over twenty per cent. It will be seen that the actual profit on this loan, at the present market rate, is not less than ten per cent, per annum. Its Exemption from State or Municipal Taxation. Rut aside from all the advantages we have enumerated, a special act of Congress exempt all Bonds and Treasury Notes from local Taxation. On the average, this ex emption is worth about two per cent, per annnm, according to the rate of taxation in various parts ol the country. It Is believsd that no securities offer so great inducements to .lenders as those issu ed by the government. In all other forms of indebtedness, the faitb or ability of pri vate parties, or stock companies, or sepa rate communities, only, m pledge! for payment, while the whole property of the country is held to secure the discharge of all the obligations of the United 'Stales. While the government offers the most liberal terms for its loans, it believes that the very strongest appeal will be the loyal'y and patriotism of the people. Duplicate certificates will be it-sued for all deposits'. The party depositing must endorse upon the original certificate the denomination of notes required, and wheth er they are to be issued in blank or paya ble to order. When so endorsed it must be left with the officer receiving the depo sit, to be forwarded to the Treasury depart ment. Subscriptions will be received by the Treasurer of the United States, at Washing ton, the several Assistant Treasurers and designated Depositaries, and by the First Rational Bank of Bloomsburg, la. And all National Banks which are deposi taries of public money, and all respectable Banks and Bankers throughout the country will give farther Information and afford every facility to subscribers.
