Corn Exchange Regiment, is on lurlough
paying a visit to his parents and friends, in
this county. He enlisted in the "Iron
Guards," from Catlawissa, and was made
1st Lieaienaut, in which Company he serv.
ed some time. He looks first-rate, having
served three years on the 1st day of April,
and talks strongly of re-enli-ting for anoth
er term cf three years. , His Regirneot is
attached to the 1st Division, 5h Corps.

Death of j Solpur On Tuesday of
last week Gcorgb W. Bkiplemas, son ol
Jacob Beidleraao of this place, died in one
of the Hospitals in Philadelphia. He en-
listed in Col. Baker's California Regiment,
trfcich was organized in .Philadelphia, and
served in the capacity ol Private for two
years, when he received a promotion as
Commissary Sergcakt, the duties of which
position ht performed for nearly a year,
making in ail, his term of jerrice, about
three. years. Geoae was an intelligent,
moral, and opright young man, in the 25ih
year of his age ; by profession, a Printer,
having served as an apprentice in this of
fice. His remains. were brought home,
by his father,-and interred ia the Cemetery
on Sabbath last, at this place,wuh the Hon
ors of War, tha furlo5gtied and "discharged

for this object was 100,000 one third of
which have been already disposed of in
Boston, Mas?, where the enterprise was
first projected.
Each of the One Dollar Tickets is good
for Four A lnits-ions to the Mammoth

at 5S5 Broadway, New York -City, or
wherever else exhibited.
One half of ihe profits of the entire sale
will be exclusively devoted and donated
to Ihe above named patriotic object.

era was held in Faneuil Hall, Boston, on
Nov., 4ih,and an adjourned meeting at
