! i: PATENTED MARCH 9, 1858.
ESSR5. ZUPPINGER & BOBBINS, of
- Bloorrsborg, having purchased the ex
c uive right of the a'tove valuable Impro
v?d Cheaf Patent Sewing Machine, for
the County of Columbia, will be hsppy tr
sspply their friends with the article for the
accommodation of themselves and familie.
The following are some of the superior
artvaifiages ttis implement possesses, viz:
I. It sews from 400 to 630 tight stitches
per minute. ,
2 Double thread Machines are from the
nore complicated character of their mech
anism invariably managed and threaded
wiih more or We difficulty ; not so with
RAYMOND'S, a child can manege it ir.two
r ours, and it is threaded easier lima a com
r ion needle.
3. One of the mosi valuable features of
tlis Machine, is the smallness and the
t ompactness of its mecha'tiism.
4. It can be attached to a board, table or
siand, in operating order, and removed in
I '6s than half a minute.
5. It greatly economizes the thread, and
jet produces a seam, sufficiently strong for
my ork lor which it is intended, a qual
ification not known lo all kinds of Sewing
Machines.
6. No human hand is capable of pro lu
i ing a seam so regular and systematic.
The iseam is so stro'ig if well done, that the
itrongeft material will tear belore tbe
team will give way.
7. Among the array cf Patent Sewing
ilachinee, ihere are none ao cheap and
durable as Raymond's Patent, but no Ma-i-hir.e
is adap'ed to all kinds ol work as
oxpenence has proven. There are perhaps
none so realy useful, doing'such a variety
uf wore for the immediate ee of the fam
ily circle and at such a moderate price as
RAYMOND'S PATENT.
fi. The operator csn shape hi seam just
is he pieces, waves. Iave and flowers,
t;e.,c;tn be represented or imitated.
9. It is particularly adapteu to all kinds
of stitr.hirg suehas gentlemen's hin,
broms, risibands, collr, etc., and all
kinds of ladies' sewing, including silks,
lawns, detainee, calicoes, doser. eir.. ex
pepting for men's heavy wear, Ihis Machine
i rather loo liabt oi ronslruclictti.
10. But we all admit, that the advantage
to haalth, and principally to the vision or
eyesight, induced by the u-e of Sewing
Machines, surpass infinitely alt oiber ad
vantages.
;i. This Machine fastens the seam al
ways iiself, but if Ihe operator wishes it
unfastened or open, there is a way lor it
loo, thus you can have it fasiened or not,
as you please, which i, snme'imes, espe
cially for beginner, a very favorable cir
cumstance. If the eam is lett unUsiene is
you can draw it oal in three tecend an'1
save the thread.
For sale by the anderinet, at their re

A great variety of cases have been reported tn tls where
cures of three formidable complaints haTe resulted from
the use of this remedy, but our space here will not admit
them. Some of them may be found in our American
Almanac, which the agents Iwlow named are pleaaed to
furnish gratia to all who call for them.
Dyspepsia, Heart Dlseaae, Kits, Epilep

Many remarkable cures of these affections Iists been
made by the alterative power of this medicine. Jt stimu
lates the vital functions into vfjrormis action, and thus
overcomes disorders which woul t be supposed beyond its
reach. Fuch a remedy has long been required by the ne

do for them all that medicine can do.
