These Billers for the core of Weak Stom
achs. General Debility, and for Purifying
and Enriching the Blood, are absolutely un
surpassed by any other remedy on earth.
To be assured of this, it is only necessary
to make the trial. The Wine itself is of
a very superior quality, being about one
third stronger than other wines; warming
and invigorating the whole system from the
head to the feet. As these Bitters are tonic
and alternative in their character, so they
strengthen and invigorate the whole sys
tem and give a fine lone and healthy anion
to all its parts, by equalizing the circulation
removing obstruc ions, and producing a
general warmth. They are also excellent
for Dieates and Weakness peculiar to FE
MALES, where a Tonic is required to
strengthek and brace the tyslef. No Lady,
who is subject to lassitude and faintnes,
should be without them as they are revivi

As a Bererage, they are wholesome, in

a valuable remedy for persons addicted to

RAYMOND'S FAMILY
SEWING MACHINE!
PATENTED MARCH 9, 1858.
ritioF mo RAni.
MESSRS. ZUPP1NGKR & KOBBTNS, of
Bloomeburg, fiaving purchased the ex
clusive richt of the above valuable Impro
ved Chear Patent Sewing Machine, for
the County of Columbia, will be happy to
supply their friends with the article lor the
aci-onimcdation of themselves and families.
The following are some of ihe superior
advantages ibis implement possesses, viz:
1. It sews from 400 to 600 tight stitches
per minute.
2. Double thread Machines are from the
more complicated character of their m !) -aniKrri
invariably managed and il,readed
with more or les difficulty ; not so with
RAYMOND'S, a.rhild cn manage it in two
hours, and it is threaded easier lhaa a com
mon needle.
3. One of the vnoM valuable tenures of
this Machine, is the sruallness and the
compactness of ils mechanism.
4. P can t sttarhed to a hoard, table or
send, in operating crder, and temoved in
lees than h!f a minate.
5. It greatly economizes the thread, end
yet produces a seam, sufficiently strong for
any work lor which it is intended, a qual
ification not known to all kinCs of Sewing
Machines.
6. No humatt.hand is capable of produ
cing a s-am o regular and systematic
The t-oam i so stroog if well done, tbat Ihe
strongest material will teal" belora the
seam will give way.
7. Among the array of Pa'ent Sewing
Machines, (here are none o cheap and
durable as Raymond's Patent, but no Ma
chine is adapted to all kinds ol work as
expedience has proven. There are perhaps
none so renly useful, rfcing such variety
of wore for the immediate use of the fam
ily circle, and at such a moderate price as
RAYMOND'S PATENT.
8. The operator can shape his Mim just
as he please, waves, leave and flowers,
etc., can he represented or imi'ated.
9. It is particularly aHapieu to all kinds
of stiicbirg such as gentlemen's shirts,
bot-oms, ristbands, collar, etc., and all
kinda of ladies' sewing, including silks,
lawns, delaines, calicoes, dusters, etc., ex
cepting for men' heavy wear, ibis Machine
is rather too light ol construction.
10. But we all admit, tbat the advantage
lo health, and principally to the vision or
eyesight, induced by the ue of Sewing
Machines, turpae iafiuitely all oiber ad
vantages. 11. This Machine fastens the seam al
ways itself, but if the operator wishes it
unfastened or open, there is way lor it
too, thus you can have il fastened or not,
i von nlease. which is, aoane'imes, espe
cially for beginners, a very favorable cir
cumstance. "If the seam is left nnfesiene 1,
von ran draw it out in three fceconds and
