Globe and Appendix, to remind subscriber,
and inform those who may desire lo tub
scribe, that Congress will meet on. the first
Monday of next December, when I shall
resume; publishing the above-named pa
pers. : The Daily Globw will contain a report of
the Debates in both br nches . of Congress
as taken dowtf by reporters, equal, at least,
to any corps ot short hand writers in this,
or in any other country,. A majority of
them will ach, be able ' 10 report, verbatim,
tn thousand words' an hour, while the
average number cf words spoken by fliient
-psakers rarely exceeds seven thousand
five hundred words an hour. Wnen the
debate of a day do not make more than
forty-fire columns, they will appear in The
Daily Globe of ihe next morning, which
will contain, also, ihe news of ihe day, to
gether with such editorial articles as may
be souaested by passing events.
The Consressional Globe and Appendix
ill contain a report of all the Debates in
C"ri2re-s, revised by the speakers, the
Messages of Ihe Psesidenl of the United
States ihe Annual Reports of the Heads ol
the Executive Departments, the Laws
pa-sed during the session, and copious in
dexes o all. They will be printed on a
double royal sheet, in book fo'm, royal
quarto size, each number containing six
teen pages. The whole will make, it is be
