HOLLOWAYJS OINTMENT.
BAD LEGS, BAD BREATS, SORES
AND ULCERS.
" All description of sores' are remediable
by the proper and diligent use of this ines
timable preparation. To attmpt to cure
bad legs by plasierine the edges of the
woond toc'her is a folly; for should the
skin nnite, a bogey diseased dond'nion re
mains underneath lo break out with tenfold
fury in a few days. The only rationanl and
oucressfnl treatment, as indicated by nature,
is to reduce the influma. ion in and about
the wound and tc soothe the neiahboring
parts by robbing in plenty of the Ointment
as salt is forced into meat..
DIPTHERIA, ULCERATED SORE
THROAT, AND SCARLET AND
OTHER FEVERS. , y
Any of the above diseases may be cured
bv well robbns the Ointment three times
a day into the i hertr throat and neck of the
patient; it will soon penetrate, and give
immediate relief. Medicine taken by the
mouth must operate upon the whole sys
tern ere its influence can be felt in any lo
oal part, whereas ttie umimeni vviii do its
work at once. . Whoever tries the unguent
in the above manner ol the disease named,
ot anv similar dioorders afiecimg the chest
and throat, will find themselves rel ieved as
by a charm. -
PILES, FISTULAS. STRICTURES.
The above class of complaints will be
removed by nightly fomenting the part
wi;h warm waterj and then by most effect
ually rubbing in tha Ointment. Persons
suffering Iroin thee direful complaints
should lose not a moment in arrestins their
progress. It should be understood that it
is not sufficient merely to smear the Oint
ment on the affected parts, but it must be
well rubbed in for some considerable time
two or three times a day, that it may be
taken into the system, whence it will re
move any hidden sore or wounds effect
ually as though palpable to the eye. There
again bread snd water poultices, after rub
bing in of the Ointment, will do great ser
vice. This is the only sure treatment for
females, cases of cancer in the stomach, or
where there may be a general bearing
down.
INDISCRETIONS OF YOUTH ; SORES
AND ULCERS.
Blotcftee, as . also swellings, uo, with
certaicty. be radically cured if the Oint
ment be used freely, and Pills be taken
nigbt end morning as recommended in the
printed instructions.. When treated in any
o'.her way tney only' dry up in one placo
to break out in another ; whereas this Oint
ment will remove the humor from the sys
tem, and leave the patient a vigorous and
healthy being. - ll will require time with
the nse of the Pills to ensure a lasting cure
DROPSICAL SWELLINGS, PARALYSIS
AND STIFF JOINTS.
Although the above complaints differ
widely in their origin and nature, yet they
all require local treatment. Many of the
worst cases, of soch diseases, will yield in
a comparatively short space of time when
this Ointment is diligently robbed into (he
parts affected, even after every other means
have failed.- In all serious maladies the
Pills should be taken according to the di
rections accompanying each box.
Both the Ointment and Pillt thoidd be used in
the fullovhig cases : -

MESSRS. ZUPPINGER & ROBBINS, of
Bloomsburg, having purchased the ex
clusive right of ihe above valuable Impro
ved Cheap Patent Sewing Machine, for
the County of Columbia, will be hppy lo
supply their friends with the article for the
accommodalionof themselves and families.
The following are some of the superior
advantages ttis implement possesses, viz:
1. It sews from 400 to 600 light stitches
per minute, v, . , -'.'- '
2. Double thread Machines aie irom tne
more complicated character of their mech-
. j -i . i .i .i
antsm - invariably managed aim u.renueu
with more or lees difficulty; not so with
RAYMOND'S, a child can manage it ir. two
hours, and it is threaded easier than a com
mon needle.
3. One of the most valuable features of
this Machine, is the smallness and tbe
compactness of its mechanism.
4. It can be attached to a noaru, taoie or
sland, in operating order, and removed in
less than half a minute.
5. ll greatly economizes Ihe thread, and
vet produces a seam, sufficiently strong for
. t i '. i - . i i
any worn ior wnicn ii is iiiienuou, ijimi
ification not known to all kinds of Sewing
Machines.
6. No human hand is capable of produ
cing a seam so regular and systematic.
The eam is so strong if well done, that ihe
etronget-t material will lear before the
seam will give way.
7. Among the array of Pa'ent Sewing
Machines,: there are none so cheap and
durable as Raymond's Patent, but no Ma
chine is adapted to all kinds ol work as
expe'ience has proven. There are perhaps
none so realy useful, doing such a variety
of wore for the immediate use of the fam
ily circle, and at such a moderate price as
RAYxrfOND'S PATENT.
8. The operator can shape his seam just
as he pleases, waves, leaves and flowers,
etc., can be represented or imitated.
9. It is particularly adaptea to all kinds
of slitchicg such as gentlemen's shirts,
boi-oms, risibands, collars, etc.,' and all
kinds of ladies', sewing, including silks,
lawns delkines. calicoes, dusters, etc., ex
cepting for men'sheavy wear, this Machine
is rather too lighl ol construction.
10. But we all admit, that the advantage
to health, and principally to the vision or
eyesight, induced by the use of Sewing
Machines, surpasses infinitely all oiher ad
vantages. .
11. This Machine fastens the seam al
ways itself, but if the operator wishes it
untastened or open, there is a way for it
too, thus you can have it fastened or not,
as you please, which ist. sometimes, espe
cially for beginners, a very favorable cir
cumstance. 'If the seam is left unfastene d
you can draw it out In three seconds and
Eave the thread.
For sale by the nndersigned, at their re
spective residences, in Bloomsburg, who
will put the Machine in operation and give
all necessary instruction.

Jn eases of General Debility, whether th
result of acute di-ease, or of the continued
diminution of nervous and mo-cular energy
fiom chronic complaints, one trial of this
restorative has proved successful io an ex

denly re-appeared in the busy world as it
jui-tire returned from protracted travel in a

of thw kind are attested of female Suflerers,
emaciated victims of apparent iiiaraoinus,
sanguineous exhaustion, critical changes,
and that complication of nervous anJ dys
peptic aversion to air and ' exercise for
which the physician has no name.
In Nervous Affections of all kinds, and
for reasons familiar lo medical men, tha
operation of this prepara'ion of iron most
necessarily be salutary, for, unlike the olJ
