BAD I-GS, BAD BR EATS, SORES ,

AH .4etrriplkn of sores are remediable
by the proper and diligent use of this ines

wound tO!!wiher 4s a fo3ly ; for sitoukl' the

succsslnl treatm-ent, as radicated by nature,
is to ted-oce the inflHma.ion in and about
the wound and k: soothe the neighboring
parts by nibbing in plenty of tiie Ointment
as salt is forced into meat.
DIPT53ERIA,. ULCERATED SORE
THROAT, AND SCARLET AND
OTHER FEVERS.
Any -of the above diseases may be cured
by well rubbing the Ointment three tinges
a day into tire -ht, throat ami neck of the
patient i it wi4l roon penetrste. and give
immediate relief. Medicine taken by the
mouth muxt 0(rale upon the whole sys
tem ere i's influence can be felt in any to
ral part-, whereas the Ointment will do its
work at once. Whoever tries the unguent
in the above meaner ol the disease rtaoied,
01 any similar disorders adeem: the i-tiest
and throat, will 61. d themselves relieved as
by a charm.
PILES, FISTULAS. STRICTURES.
The above class of complaints will be
removed by niahlly fomenting the pari
wiih warm water, and then by most effect
ually rubbing in tha Ointment. Prions
suffering Irom lhee direful complaints
should lose not a moment in arresting their
nrasress. It should be understood that it
is not sufficient merely to smear ll.e Oint
ment on the affected partsf but it must be
well rubbed in for some considerable time
two or three times a day, that it may be
taken into the system, whence it will re
move any hidden sore or wound as effect
ually as though palpable to the eye. There
again bread and water poultices, after rub
bing in of the Ointment, will do great ser
vice. This is the only sure treatment for
females, cases of cancer in the stomach, or
where there may be a general bearing
down.
INDISCRETIONS OF YOUTH ; SORES
AND ULCERS.
Blotches, as also swellings, ueo, with
certainty, be radically cured if tbe Oint
ment be used Ireely, and Pill be taken
niut and morning as recommended in the
printed instructions. When treated in any
other way iney only dryup in one place
to break out in anoiner ; whereas this Oint
ment will remove the bomor ftom the sjs
tem, and leave the patient a vigorous and
healthy being. It will require lime with
the use of tbe Pills to ensure a lasting cure
DROPSICAL SWELLINGS, PARALYSIS
AND STIFF JOINTS.
Although the above complaints differ
widely in their origin and nature, yet they
all require locsl treatment. Many of the
worst cases, of such diseases, will yield in
a comparatively short space of lime when
this Ointment is ddigently rubbed into the
parts affected, even after every other means
have failed. In all serious maladies the
Pills should be taken according to the di
recuona accompanying each box.
Both, the Ointment and Pills should be uted in
th. filLw'mg ones :

RAYMOND S FAMILY
SEW4NQ MACHINE!
'PATENTED MARCH 9, 185S. .
fMtlCfr: f0 KACII.
MESSRS. 2 Ul'PlNGER-fc ROBBIKS, of
Bloomburg, having purchased the ex
clusive right of nhe above valuable 3 mpro
ved Cheap Patent Sewing Machine, for
the County of Cahwibia, will be happy to
supply theif friends with the article lor the
accommodationof themselves aod families.
The following are some of Ih-e superior
advantages this implement possesses, viz :
1. It sew from 400 toWJ tight stitches
per minute.
2. Double thread Machines ae from the
more complicated character of their mech
anism invariably managed and tl.readed
with more or le difficulty ; not o with
RAYMOND'S, a child can manage it in two
hours, and it is threaded easier than a com
mon needle.
5. One of the most valuable feataras of
this Machine, is the smalltrs and tbe
com;ctrese of frs mechanism.
4. It can be attacked to a board, table or
siand, in operating order, and removed in
less than half a minute.
5. It greatly economizes the thread, and
yet produces a seaoi, sufficiently strong for
any work lor which it is intended, a qual
ification not known to all kinds of Sewmg
Machines.
6. No human hand is capable of produ
cing a seam so regular and systematic
The seam iso strong if wefldone, that the
strongest material will tear before the
seam will giv way.
7. Among tins array of Paent Sewieg
Machines, there aro none so cheap and
durable as Raymond's Patent, but no Ma
chine is adapted to all kinds ol work as
experience has proven. There are perhaps
none so realy useful, doing such a variety
of wore for the mtedaie one of the lam
ily circle and at such a moderate price as
RAYMOND'S PATENT.
8. The operator can shape hi seam just
as he pleases, waves. Ieave and flowers,
etc., cn be represented or imitated.
9. It is particularly adapter to all kinds
of stiichicg such as gentlemen's shirts,
bor-oms, ristbanJs, collars, etc., and all
kinds of ladies' sewing, including silks,
lawns, delaines, calicoes, dusters, etc., ex
cepting for men'sheavy wear, this Machine
is rather too lisibi ot construction.
10. But we all admit, thai the advantage
to health, and principally to the vision or
eyesijjht, inooced by the ue of Sewing
Machines, surpasses infinitely all oiher ad-
vantage.
11. This Machine fastens the seam al
ways iiself, but if the operator wishes it
unfastened or open, there is a way lor it
too, thus y ou can have it fastened or not,
as you please, which is, someime., espe
cially for beinners, a very favorable cir
cumstance. If the seam is led unfastened,
y oo can draw it out in three seconds and
;ave the thread.
For sale by ihe rjndersined, at their re
spective residences, in Bloomsboig, who
will put the Machine in operation and give
all uecessary iustrnction.
