HO LLOWAY'S OINTMENT.
BAD LEGS, BAD BREATS, SORES
AND ULCERS.
All description of sores are remediable
by the proper and ddigent use of this ines
timable preparation. To aitmpl to cure
bad legs by plaMer'me the edizes of the
wound lojiwiher is a folly ; for should the
skin unite, a t-ojigy !i!-ead dondiiion re
mains underneath to break ont with 'enfold
fury in a few days. The nnl rationanl and
ucresslnl treatment, as indicated by nature,
ii to reduce the inflania. ion in and about
the wound and ic soothe the neighboring
parts by robbing in plenty of the Ointment
as salt is lofced into meat. .
DIPTHERIA. ULCERATED SORE
THROAT, AND SCARLET AND
OTHER FEVERS.
Any of the above diseases may be cored
by well rubb'uisr the Ointment three times
a day into the t heft, throat and neck of the
patient; it will on penetrate, and give
immediate retief. Medicine taken by the
mouth must operate upon th whole sys
if m ere iis influence can be felt in any lo
cal part, whereas the Ointment will do its
work at once. Whoever tries the unynent
in the atove mauierol the d'ease named,
or anv similar disorders aneciir; the chest
and throat, will fii.d themselves relieved as
by a charm.
PILES, FISTULAS. STRICTURES.
The above class of complaints will 'be
removed oy matitly lomenting the part
wiih warm water, and then by most effect
ually rubbing in lh Ointment. Persons
fufTering Irom thee direful complaints
should lose not a momem in arrestms their
progress. It should be understood that
is not sufficient merely to smear the Oinl-
mer.i on the affected parts, but it must be
well rubbed in for some considerable time
two or three times a day, that it may be
taken into the system, whence it will re
move any hidden sore or wound as effect
ually asihoogh palpable to the eye. There
again bread and watt r poultices, after rub
bing in of the Ointment, will do great ser
vice. This is the only sure treatment for
females, cases of cancer in the stomach, or
where there may be a general bearing
down.
INDISCRETIONS OF YOUTH ; SORES
AND ULCERS.
Blotches, as also swellings, ns3, with
certair.'.y be radically cured if the Oint
ment be used freely, and Pilla'be taken
nitil and morning as recommended in the
printed instructions. When treated in any
o'her way they only dry up in one 'place
to break out in anoirter ; whereas this Oint
ment will remove the humor from the sys
tem, and leave thepatient a vigorous and
heabhy being. It will require time, with
the use of the Pill - to ensure a lasurigcur ,
DROPSICAL SWELLINGS, PARALYSIS
AND STIFF JOINTS.
J. Although the above complaints differ
widely in their oriam and nature, yei they
all require locsl treatment. Many of the
wcrst caes, of such diseases, will yield in
a comparatively short space of lime whf n
this Ointment is Jdigently rubbed into ihe
parts affected, even afier every other means
have failed. In all sfcriou maladies the
Pills should be taken according to the di
recuous accompanying each box.
Both the Ointment and Pills should be ueeain

MESSRS. ZUPPINGER & BOBBINS, of
BloomsburgTiavipg purchased the ex
clusive right of the above valuable Impro '
ved Chear- Patent Sewing -Machine, for
the County of Columbia, will be luppy to
supply their friends with the article lor the
aecomrru dationof themselves and families.
The following are some of the superior
advantages ttis implement possesses, vi:
1. It sews from 400 to 600 light stitches
per minute.
2. Double thread Machines ate from the
more complicated character of their mech
anism invariably managed and 'threaded
with more or le? difficulty ; not so with
RAYMOND'S, a child can manage it it; two
hours, and it is threade'd easier than a com
mon needle.
3. One of the most valuable features of
this Machine, is the smallness and the
compactness of its mechanism.
4. ' It can be attached to a board, table or
stand, in operating order, and removed in
less than half a minute.
5. ll greatly economizes the thread, and
yet produces a seam, sufficiently strong for
any work lor which it is intended, a qual
ification not known to all kinds of Sewing
Machines.
6. No human hand is capable of produ
cing a seam so regular and systematic.
The team is so strong if well done, that the
st.-ongext material will tear before the
seam will give way.
7. Among the array of Parent Sewing
Machines, there are none so cheap and
durable as Raymond's Patent, but no Ma
chine is adapted to ail kinds of work as
experience has proven. There are perhaps
none so realy useful, doing such a variety
of wore for the immediate use ot ine tarn
ily circle and at such a moderate price a9
RAYMOND'S PATENT.
8. The ouerator can shape his seam just
as he pleases, waves, leave and flowers,
etc.. can be represented or imitated.
9. It is particularly adapter 10 all kinds
of stitchic" such as gentlemen's shirts,
boi-oms. risibanJs. collar'', etc., and all
kinds of ladies' sewing, including silks,
lawns, delaines, calicoes, dusters, etc., ex-
eeinini? for men's heavv wear, this Machine
-r
is rather too ligbl o! construction.
10. But we all admit, that the advantage
lo health, and principally to the vision or
eyesight, inouced by the use of Sewing
Machines, surpasses infinitely all oiher ad
vantages.
11. This Machine fastens the seam al
ways itself, but if the operator wishes it
unfastened or open, there is a way for it
too, thus you can have it fastened or not,
as you please, which is, sometimes, espe
cially for beginners, a very favorable cir
cumstance. If the seam is left unfastened,
you can draw it out to mree becouua mm
save the thread.
For sale by the undersigned, al their re
spective residences, in BJoomsburg, who
will put the Machine in operation and give
all necessary instruction.

In cases of General Dsbility, whether thrt

diminution of nervous anJ muscular energy
fiorn chronic complaints, one trial of ihm
restorative ha pioved successful to an ex

denly re-appeared in ".he busy world an if
justice returned from protracted travel in a

of this kind are attested of female Sufferers,
emanated victims of apparent marasmu,
sanguineous exhaustion, critical chat.ge,
and that complication of nervou and dys
peptic aversion to air and exercise for'
which the physieian ha ho name.
In Nervous A flee; ions of all kind, and
