DISEASES, SELF-ABUSE, NERVOUS De
bility, Strictures, Gleets, Gravel, Diabetes,
Diseases of the Kidneys and Bladder, Mer
curial Rheumatism, Scrofula, Pains in the
Bones and Ankles, Diseases of the Lungs,
Throat, Nose and Eyes, Ulcers upon the
body or limbs, Cancers, Dropsy, Kdileptic
Fits, St. Vita's Dance, and all diseases oris
ing from a derangement of the Sexual Or
gans.
Surh as nervous trembling, less of mrmorv,
loss of power, general weakness, dimness of
vision with peculiar spots appearing before the
eyas, loss of sight, wakefulness dysnepsiu,
Liver ihsesso, eruptions upon the face, pain
in the buck and head, female irregularities ami
all improper discharges fiom both sexes. It
■natters not from what cause tho disease origi
nated, however long standing or obstinate the
case, recovery is certain, and in a shorter time
than o permanent euro ran he elicited hv any
other treatment, even ullsr the disease has lint"
flu! the skill of eminent physicians utnl resist
ed all the means of cure. Tito medicines are
pleasant without odor, causing 1.0 sickness
ontl free Imm mercury or balsam. During 80 '
years of practice, 1 have rescued from lire I
jaws of death many thousands, who, in tho
last stages of the above mentioned diseases
had henti given up to die by their physicians,
which warrants me in promising to the uil'irt
cd, who may placs themselves under my care,
a permit and most speedy cure. Secret dis
eases are the greatest enemies to health, as;
they are the fust cause of Consumption, Scrof- j
ula and many other diseasos, and should he a I
terror to the human family. As a permanent j
cure is scarcely ever clToctod, a majority of
the cases falling into the hands of ir.cmnpc- j
tent persons, who not only fail to cure tho j
diteusrs but ruin the constitution, tilling the ;
system with mercury, which, with the disease, |
hastens the sufferer into a rapid consumption. {
Hut should iho Uiocaae ami llio t.eauuout
not cause death speedily and the victim mar
ries, the di.-euso i- entailed upon children, who
are born with feeble constitutions, and the
current of life corrupted by a virus which bo
treya itself in Scrofula, Teller, Ulcere, Brup
lions and other affeciiunn of the skin, Byes,
Throat aud Lungs, eulailiug them to mi early
gtave.
Self-abuse is another formidable enemy to
health, for nothing cUo in the dread catalogue
of human diseases causes so destructive a drain
upon the system, drawing isa thousands of
victims through a few years of suffering down
to an untimely grave, [t destroys iho Ner
vous system, rapidly wastes away the energies
of lift', eau.es mental derangement, prevents
Iho proper development of the system, dis
qualifies for marriage, society, business, and
ail earthly happiness, and leaves the sufferer
wrecked in hedy and mindi predisposed to
consumption and a nam of evils uioio to be
dreaded ihon deaih itself. With the fullest
confidence I assure the unfortunate victims of
self-abuse that a permanent and speedy cure
can bo effected, and with the abandonment of
ruinous practices my patients can be restored
to robust, vigorous health.
The afflicted are cautioned against the use of
I'atent Medicines, for thero mo so many inge
nious snares in thecolumns of the public piints
to catch and tob the unwary sufferers that
millions have their consiitutions ruined by
the vjle compounds of quack doctors, or the
equally poisonous nostrums vended as 'Patent
Medicines.' 1 have carefully analyzed many
of the so called Patent Medicines and find that
nearly all ol them contain Corrosive Bunli
mate, which is one of the strongest prepara
tions of moicury and a deadly poison, which
instead of curing the disease disables tho sys
tem for life.
1 hree-fourlhß of the patent nostrums now
in use are put up by unprincipled and ignor
ant persons, who do not understand even the
ulphabet of the Materia Mcdica, and are equal
ly as destitute of any knowledge of the human
system, having one object only in view, and
that to make money regardless of consequence.
