AVER'S PILLS.
A ICE IfOlJ SICK?
Till EN you can't be onred too soon. Don't
delay until your eoupiaint is incurable,
and then mourn when it is too late. Four
filths of all the diseases which people the
church yards, might be cured by Ayer's Ca
thartic Pills, if taken in season. Don't go
dragging lb rough the Spring, fuint, sleepy
and listless, because your blood is loaded
1 with bile. Don't wear the headache, heart
| burn, and their kindred disorders, because
9 your stomach i foul. Don't porade yourself
3 around the world, covered with pimples,
I blotches, ulcers, sores, and all or any of the
j ! unclean diseases ol ihe skin, because your
H system wants cleaning. Don't show jour
self about, lean, haggard, all caved in, be
cause your Stomach and Bowels need
9 strengthening into healthy action. Ayer's
Pills sol these things right as surely as.water
3 quenches fire. They purily the body and
0 blood, nml restore their functions into healthy
U activity which you can feel as quick as they
are token. They are llie one great medical
. wonder of the age, recognized by alt who
know their virtues, and many thousand know
them. Take the Cherry Pectoral for a cough,
and the Pills4ur all derangements requiring

skill of the most emihetit physicians had
failed, and the disease resisted all other
means of cure. The remedies are free from
odor causing neither sickness nor inconve
nience, nnd without muroury or balsam.—
During' twenty years' practice, I have re
stored to health over seventeen thousand pa
tients, -who were suffering under the worst
forme of all of the above mentioned dis
eases, which guarantees me in promising a
perfect and most speedy cure. Secret dis
eases nrethe grealesl enemies to health and
happiness, as they are the fits! cause of con
sumption, scrofula, &c., and should be a ter
ror to all nstions on the earlb; for tha dis
ease is becoming so comchon, and treatment
so little understood, that a permanent cure is
scarcely ever effected, as a majority of the
cases fall into the hands of incompetent per
sons, who not Only fail to cure the malady,
but rnin the constitution with corrosive sub
limate—a dangerous poison, a preparation
of mercury—which, with the remains of dis
ease in the system, produces many of the
above named affections, which finally termi
nate in consumption, and frequently a rapid
one ; but should it not cause death speedily,
and the victim to disease marries, the disease
is then conveyed Irom the patient to the chil
dren, causing them to come-into the world
with scrofula, affections of the skin, eyes,
throat, &c., and again terminates in con
sumption, and consigns his'Viclim to an un
timely grave, between the ages of six months
arid tbirty-five years. Self absttc is another
formidable enemy to health; it destroys the
nervous system, rapidly wasting away the
energies of life, causing menial derange
meui, preventing a proper development of
the system, and disqualifying its vie torn for
marriage, society, business, and all earthly
happiness. Female Irregularities and oibet

LOTTERIES.
THE well-known Maryland Consolidated
Lotteries, ot which it. FRANCE & Co. are
the managers, are chartered by the state of
| Maryland, and a commissioner elected by
the people, who is sworn to superintend and
certify that everything connected with them
is done in a strictly honorable manner, and
that the interists of parties who reside at a
distance are as well protected as if they
themselves were present at the drawing,—
Another fact which the managers call atten
tion to, is, that all persons have a legs I right
to send orders for tickets to Maryland, ai
lotteries are legalized by special law in that
state. A lottery is drawn every day of the
month. If no particular class is mimed, or
ders are filled in the first drawing to take
place afrer the communication conies to
hand. The prices of tickets vary from 81
to 820. No tickets are, however, sent unless
Ih e money lor the same is received wiih the
order. '1 be drawings are upon the principle
of one number on each ticket (after the Ha
vana plan,)snd Ternary combination. Prizes
vary in amount from 820 to 8100,000. All
orders for tickets or packages will receive
prompt attention, and the drawing mailed to
all purchasers immediately alter it is over.
