WHEELER'S PATENT CHAIN ' OVERSHOT THRASHERS, FEED CUTTERS, &.C. The above cot represents a single or one horse machine with the hands necessary to attend it. ... , . ~ The subscribers take this method ol in forming the public in general, that they have for some time been carrying on, in all their various branches, the nianulacture and sale ol Wheeler's Patent Chain llorse Powers, together with Overshot Thrashers, Feed t ut ters, Revolving Horse Rakes, kc., in Light Street, Columbia co., and the town ol North umberland, Northumberland co., Pa. The Horse-Powers are strong and durable, and very simple in their construction: run light, and are not liable to get out ol order. With a slight ele vation, the weight alone of the horse or horses drives the Thrasher with force and speed. They may also ho used for various other purposes, such a driving Circular Saws, Turning Lathes, Boring Machines, Grind stones. Chums, etc. etc. The Overshot Machines hive several advantages over the machines now in use. The apron or feeding table is level, and of a proper height to allow the feeder to stand erect, and feed evenly and easily without annoyance from dust; sticks and stone are not liable to get into the thrasher, and the grain is not scattered, but thrown down to the separator. The two horse machine, attended hy from two to three hands, will thrash Irom 100 to 150 bushels of wheal, or double ihe amount ol oats per day. The one horse machine, at tended by two or three hands, will thrash from 60 lo 75 bushels ol wheat, or double the amounl of oats par day. The Feed- Cutter is a first rate atticlo, and is very much used. It cuts fine and very fast; stalks are cut by it 3-8 of on inch long, at he rate of Irom 300 to 600 sheaves per day. The foregoing is a brief statement of the qualities and character of our machines - There probably is a larger number ol Wheeler's Patent Powers made and sold than any other kind. We offer our ma chines to the farming communi'y with lull confidence in their merits, and invite all in terested to call and examine them before purchasing elsewhere. Tiiftirs woft'T no. rpHF.Y never did do more than give tempo- A rary relief and ihey never will It is he cause they don't touch the cause of the dis ease. The cause of till ague and billious dis eases is tho atmospheric poison called Alias ma or Malaria. Neutralize this poison by its N.I TIR.IL ,Q ST I DOTE, and all diseases caused by it disappears at once. Rhodes' Fever and Ague Cure is this Antidote to Malaria, and moreover it is a perfectly harmless medicine. The certificate of the celebrated chemist, J. R. Chilton, of New York, to this effect, is attached to every bottle ; therefore if it does no good it can do no harm. This is more than ran be said of Quinine, Arsenic, or any tonic in existence, its their j use is ruinous to the constitution and brings \ on Dl'MB AGUE, which never allows a per son to feel pnrleclly well for a single moment, j In illustration of these truths l annex some extracts from a letter just received from a Physician: Georgetown, Ohio, March 17. '56. J.ts A. RHODES, Esq.— Dear Sir: Yours of 2d inst. is ot hand. The Cure arrived late Inst year and the difficulty in getting any one to try it was greatly increased from the laet thai a remedy had been introduced which j was growing in favor with the public, as be- j ing better than using Quinine, —not knowing ; 1 presume that the remedy they needed to j escape taking Quinine, contained the DRUG ITSELF! This remedy,(know-ias "Smilh'sTonie, ) would invariably BREAK an ague, but it did not CI'RE it, and it would ofreti return with renewed vigor. The one rirenmstanre 1 deemed in your favor, if 1 conld institute a test comparison between it and your CURE Tlie lollowing is the result: Three persons look your "Cure," all of which were cases of ' Quotidian Intermit tent Fever," ot many weeks standing. They had tried Quinine, and other remedies, occa sionally missing chill, but ii was, (as in all such cases,; slowly wearing them out, and laying the foundation of other and severer maladies. I did sucreed in effecting a radi cal core of all three of these cases with your remedy, and they have nc.t hail a chill since. In all three of these eases the "Smith's Ton ic" had been used, ard would, as before sta ted, break the chill, but after a period or two had elapsed it would return. I think there will be no difficulty now in giving to your "Cure" the vantage ground of any other remedy now in use here. &e. &c. WILLIAM BUCKNER. M D. RHODES'FEVER and AGUE CURE, or Antidote to Malaria, the only harmless reme dy in existence, is equally certain as a PRE VENTIVE, as a "CURE."
