The anbacribera lake this method of in forming the pobllr in general, that they have for aome lime been carrying on, in all their various branches, the manulariurc and *Ble ol Whecler'a Patent Chain Horse Powprs, together with Overshot Thrasher*, Feed Col ter*, Revolving Horse llaket, fee ,in Light Street, Columbia co., and the town of North umberland, Northumberland co., Pa. The Horse-Power* are strong and durable, and very simple in their construction: run light, and are not liable to get out ol order. With a slight ele vation, lite weight alone of the horse or horses drives the Thrasher with force and speed. They may also ho used for various other purposes, such a driving Circular Saws, Turning Lathes. Boring Machines, Grind- Stones. Churns, e'c. etc. ft Tlic Overshot Machines have several advantages over the machines now in use. The apron or feeding table is level, and of a proper hpight to allow the feeder to stand erect, and feed evenly and easily without annoyance from dust; sticks and stone r.re not liable to gel iiito the thrasher, and the grain is not scattered, hut thrown down to the separator. J"he two hofse machine, attended by from two to three hands, will thrash from 100 to 150 bushels of wheat, or double the amount of oats per day. The one horse machine, at tended by two or three hands, will thrash from 50 to 75 bushels ol wheat, or double the amount of oats per day 1 . The Feed- Cutter is a first rate article, and is very much used. It cuts fine and very fast; stalks are cut by it 3-8 of an inch long, at he rate of from 300 to 500 sheaves per day. The foregoing is a brief statement of the qualities and character of our machines.— I There probably is a larger number ol ! Wheeler's Patent Towers made and sold J than any other kind. TAKE PARTICULAR NOTICE, There is an evil habit sometimes indulged in by boys, in solitude, nod which, if not re formed in due time, not only begets serious obstacles to matrimonial lispDiness.bnl give* rise to a series of protracted; insidious, and devastating afflictions. Few ol those who give way to this pernicious practice are a ware ol the consequences, until they find the nervous system shattered, feel strange and unaccountable feelings, and vague fears in the mind. The unfortunato Ilius affected becomes fee ble, is unable to labor with accustomed vig or, or to apply his mind to study; his step is lardy and weak, lie is dull, irresolute, and engages in his sport with lees energy than usual. If he emancifate himself before the prao lice has clone its worst, and en'er matrimony, his marriage is unfruitful, and hie sense tells him that this is caused by bis early follios These are considerations which should awa ken the attention of those similarly situated. MARRIAGE Requires the fulfillment of several conditions in order that it may be really the cause of mutual happiness. Could the veil which covers the origin of domestic wretchedness be raised, and its true source ia evary in stance disclosed—in how many could it be traced to physical disqualifications and their attendant disappointments!
