the heat being intense, as you may suppose
as there were about seventy barrels of liquor
ht the store, besides some seventy thousand
pounds of rags and ropes, and other articles
of a highly combostiblo nature. We had
the Safe-opened after the fire had ceased
and found our books and papers preserved in
