JOHN S. LONOSIHRE, M. D.
From Jl, Woodward, M. D. of Penn.
University, Philadelphia.
It gives me pleasuie to add my testimony to
the professional ability of the autbor of Ihe
"Medical Manual," Numerous cases of disease
of the genital organs, some of them of long
standing, have come under my notice, in which
his skill has been manifest in restoring to per
fect health iu anme cases where the patient has
been considered beyond medicul aid, In the
treatment of seminal weakness, or disarrange
ment of the functions produced by self-abuse
or excess of venery, I do not know bis superi
or in the piofesaion. I have been acquainted
with the author some thirty years, and deem it
no more than justice to him as well as kindness
to the unfortunate victim of early indiscretion
to recommend him as one in whose professional
skill and integrity they may safely conlide
themselves.
ALTRED WOODWARD, M. D.
"This is, without exception, tho most com
prehensive and intelligible work.published of
the class of diseases of \ which it treats. Avoi.
ding all technical terms, it addresses itself to
tho teason of its reade-s. It ia free from oil
objectionable matter, and no parent however
fastidious can object to placing it iu the ban d
of his sons. The author has devoted many
years to the treatment of the various complaints
treated of, with too little breath to puff, and
too little presumption to impose, he has offered
to the world, at the merely nominal price of 25
cents., the fruit of some twenty years' most
successful practice."—[Herald.

A Presbyterian clergyman in Ohio, writing
of "Huntej'a Medical Manual" says,—"Thou
sands upon thousands of our youth by evil ex
ample, and influence of the passions, have been

alizing the ain and fearful consequences upon

thing that can he dune solo enlighten and in

human wretchedness, would confer the greatest
blessing next to the religion of Jesus Christ, on
the present coining generation. Intemperance,
