inent citizen of this State, died at his resi
dence, in I'hiladelphia, on Friday week,in
the 70th year of his age. Tho deceased
was educated for thc medical profcssion,but

came quite prominent.

lature, for several years, he was elected
to Congress, by thc Democrat oftho First

position of Associate Judge, in the Court

was resident Physician of tha Lazaretto'

part, and for many years has been en
gaged in an effort to secure pension for
