We have delayed the publication of our

giving the official returns of llio eleclion.
will bo seen that the vole throughout ihf
county is very small owing to the inclemen

the battle.
A OK EAT FIE.'.D.
We have often chronicled the great yield
of various kinds of vegetables, but we have
no recollection of any one to beat tho fol

village, gathered this fall, the production,!
of two seeds, eleven pumpkins, weighing
together nine hundred and twenty-live
pounds, the smallest one weighed thitty
seven pounds, and the largest 135, There
were also soxe smaller ones which had
been previously picked that were not taken
into the account,
The- Albany Argus of the 4ih inst. says;

which at ar.y lime heretofore have been

Eight of the twenty monarchs of Europe
are Protestants; nine ire A'jinan Catholics:
two aro of the Greek Church, and one w a

Greek Church are the Emperor of Russia

them are as lespcclable as our public men
whom we delight to honor. The Queens
