is hereby declared to be an Indictable
offence, in addition to the remedies now
given by law, for the perpetration of this
great private anil public wrong, and ar.y
person who email be convicted of the offence
of seduction, in any court of Quarter Sess
ions of tho Peace of this commonwealth,
shall be sentenced to pay a fine not less
than $500 nor more than $10,000, at the
court, and further lo uudeigo a solitary
confinement, at hard labor in the proper
penitentiary for a period not less than one
