Agreeably tolho22d and 23d Secliomof an act of Assembly,
passed the lGlh day of April, 1834. Tho commissioners of
iho county of Columbia, mako tha following statement of the
Eeceipta and Expenditures of said county for the yoar 1840.
To which is annexed a statement of tho Duplicates of County
Tax for each of the townships in said county, for the year 1840.
Also a statement ot outstanding itebts duo tho county, per Audi
tors report.

THE Commissioners requost the Supervisors
in tho several townships nf Columbia county,
to attend to the filling up of tho abutmetiti of tho
County bridges, in their respective districts, when
repairs of that kind are required- in this way such
repairs can be made at trilling expense to tho town
ships; and generally more promptly and economi
cally than it is possible for tho Commissioners to
havoit done at tho expense of tho county.
