a premium tormerly, unless a special improvement
over the former article shall be so manifest as to

should not exceed articles previously exhibited from

from materials, tho growth of the district comprising
the Society will be interesting obiccts of premium
Also samples of Malt and Vinous Liquors, of the
materials the growth of the district.
The fact that good ploughing is at the basis of
good and successful agriculture, induces the society
to hold out premiums for the best specimens of
ploughing (40 perches) to be performed at the
Cattlo Shoy. Premiums will bo awarded foruseful
improvements &. imnlemcnu in husbandry.
No animals, or specimen of manufactures that
.obtained a premium at a former Cattle Show, shall
detain be a subicct of premium: nor will a premium
lie allowed for any animal railed out of the limit
of tho society, except those ' troducedfor the pur-
ppso of improving the stock and which shall have
been within the bounds of the Society at least one
year previous to the exhibition!
The best flock of sheep, raised by an individual
''(not less than ten) taking into view their breed,
'healthful state, and the quality of their wool, will
also be the object of a premium.
To encourage the production of Barley, the com
mittee on grain will award suitable premiums to it;
successful cultivators.
Successful experiments in the cultivation, of all
kinds of Crops, Grain, Grasses, Vegetables, Vines
Trees, &c. communicated in writing, will be laid
before the commute as subjects of premiums
AN AUCTION
wiil be held, commencing at 1 o'clock to 'continue
if expedient from day to day, in order that those
who have articles of manufacture: improved
agricultultural implements. Grain and vegetablt
seeds of superior quality, anj all kinds of bloodec
and improved animals, rfiay cell them and thus ('.is
