Applicants, to be admitted, must be sons
'of inhabitaats of the State, and of good
moral character and health, sixteen years
of age and pass a satisfactory examination
in 0 rthography, Reading, Writing,
Arithmetic, English Grammar, Geography.
and the History of the United States.
The charge for Boarding, Lodging,
Washing and Fuel, for all Students, fs
$ 100 for the Spring Term of 24 weeks,
and $7O for the Fall Term of 10 weeks,
payable in advance. But in order to
enable the Institution to afford its advan
tages at this lowrate, as well as to prac
tieahze its instructions, the farm and gar
den must be worked by the stud ants, as
the law requires. This will have the
double benefit ofleszening their expense and
:and increasing their skill. These labors,
however, will be light amongst the large
:number to be admitted, and shall be so al.-
:ran:ea as not to curtail the requisite hours
of studies.
