on thousands of diseased men, women and thi.dren,
I have justly come to the conclusion that every, finni

keep it at bay, must have myMetaphysical Discov.-

against disease. It also • treats and destroys the
cause of disease, consequently the effects die, be
ginning with Deafness, Catarrh, Rheumatism, Neu

heir to.,
It is the only safeguard against Cholera. 11,
cleanses every sower of the human body, hardens
the flesh, and purifies the blood. In consequence of
the above facts, I have this day reduced the price,
so as to leave no barrier in the way of the diseased.
The package consist of three bottles, one used for
the Eyes, ono for the Ears, and one for the Scalp.—
Those three work in conjunction, passing into the
system by absorptior, , thus killing the very root of
the diaonso, which is In a spccitio locality in the
head.
My Metaphysical Discovery is pricked in a neat
wooden case, and will be despatched to any part of
the world on receipt of the price, which will bo, from
this 25th day of November, sold at $4 per package,
or,threo packages $lO.

Tha following letter is one of the many which I
receive daily at my different offices :
REMARKABLE CIIRE.- 4 -oatarrh, Aatlona, &c.
Mns. CIIEEVER, residing at No. 62 Allen street,
Boston, says : I have been troubled for four years
with sore throat. For two yours I suffered with ca
tarrh and great dizziness in my head, almost calm
ing mo to fall. I suffered greatly with asthma, it
being hereditary in the family. I was diseased all
over. I could not go whore there was any dust. I
had great pains in my head and neck. I have suf
fered much with cold feet. The bones in my neck
were drawn out of place with the asthma, and my
throat 'coked like raw beef. After applying to va
rious physicians and obtaining no relief, I finally
applied to Mrs. M. G. Brown, by whose, medicines
I have boon so much benefited that I am now like
another woman. Formerly the least exposure gave
me cold; I could not go to the door with my head
uncovered with Out an attack of the asthma. My
asthma is now entirely gone. My catarrh has
wholly disappeared. rfelt weak and languid for
many years, so that I was aburdon to myself. The
coldness of my foot hat disappeared, and I feel'a
general cironlaf on through my entire system, cous
in me to be, as formerly, full of strength and viva
city, and can attend to household duties as well as
ever I did in my life."
It is the only safeguard against disease, including
CHOLERA. It cleanses every newer of the human
body, hardens the flesh, and purifies the blood.
The Celebrated POOR RICHARD'S EYE WA

of both mind and body. Let all use it morning and

No- 211 Nas-au St , New York, Jouo 1, 1605.
Dr-,3- Il- Schenck—Dear Sir: For over fiiteen
years I have been troubled wise. a very severe
cough, and usually two or three tunes a year with'
more or less hemorrhage, which t-gethur, for 'the
last few years, has kept the thin iu flesh end too
weak to do business of any I iud without suffering-
In August last I had a very severe hinn;wrhuge,
and, according to the judgment of a good New York
physician, I was classed as beyond the reach of
medicine, and was advisod to be prepared, so tar as
property matters were concerned, to leave this world
at, short nottae. The physician (and my good
friends) said that the first cold I took must prove
fatal- Early in January I took a severe cold, and
fortunately was occupying rooms at No. 82 BOND
:TBEET, directly over your office- I think about
the 16th of
. .lanuary I procured a• bottlo of your
Pulmonio Syrup and pommenced taking it freely-
My feet and limbs were very much swollen, and all
the symytoma of a speedy death seemed to accom
pany my cold) I sent for my formst physician,
and stated to him that I was taking your medicines,
and after showing them to him, and having tasted
of them, Ac;, he replied : " You can take them if
you liko, they will do you no harm:" Bo said :
" You know what I told you last summer, and I say
tho samo now, if You havo any business to close up,
do not put it off.' Ho said to other friends that he
" could see ho hope for me," and my friends and
relations concluded my timo had come; At this
time I was taking freely of your medicine, but had
not seen you. The doctor called a few times, and
found me (much to his surprise, he said,) improv
ing, and he could not understand why. My faith
was increasing in your medicines, and I bad a wish
to have you examine my case, endue whatyou had
to say. When yen first came to my room and made
the examination, you gaVo me but littlo encourage
ment, but on the contrary, expressed tad doubts of
my ever being helped out of my then seeming dif
ficulties. Tho second time that you called, finding
mo still gaining, you gave me encouragemont, say
ing, my symptoms wero improving; the Pulmon
ic Syrup, Sea-weed Tonic and :Mandrake Pills had
acted like a charm." My circulation, my cough,
my appetite, all began to improve, and I could
walk about m v room a little. You visited me near
ly every Tuesday, and found ma improving, and
told me not to go out of my room until the first day
of May. Itook.no cold while under your treat
ment, my appelhe became first-rate, and you told
me to eat everything I wished of a nutritious na
ture, and to (mortise about the room as much as
possible. I followed your advice, and to the stir
prim of my old physician and friends, I seem much
better than I have been for several years, and
breathe better. than I ever expected a person could
with one lung, the loft. being completely dried up.
1 fool lieu grateful to you, and consider your ad
vice and medicines invaluable
Yours, truly;
Da. SCHENCK—Dear Sir :—About two years ago
I was taken with a very troublesome cough and a
pain in my breast;. seven or eight months passed
away without my doing anything for myself. Then
I applied to a physician, who attend+l me for
about three months without rendering me any ser
iico. I also obtained the advice and treatment of
a physician in ono of our hospitals, and also had
the advice and treatment of two other physicians,
but all to no purpose. Daring this long space of
time I was nearly dead; several times my friends
came to see me and witness my exit into the spirit
world. I was confined to my bed two months at
one time. My breathing was exceedingly short.-
1 gave up several time all hopes of getting better;
and as regarding getting well, that was entirely out
of the question. And to think this day lam w• 11
and hearty ! I was advised by some of my friends
to try Da. SCHENCK'S Medicines. I accordingly
bought bottle offer bottle, until I reached the ninth ;
then 1 fund a decided °hoop in my cough for the
better. I suffered severely from palpitation of the
heart, and two weeks after I commenced taking
your medicine this difficulty ceased.
When Itfirst went to Dr. Schenck's office it wee
withdiffieulty that I could get up into his reception
room, I was so weak and so swelled; my skin was
as sallow as though I had the jaundice; I felt dull,
heavy and sleepless Dr. Schenck, alteresamleing
me, said both my lunge were affected, and gave me
but little hope ; but his medicines, in about two
weeks, took right hold of me; it seemed to go right
through my whole system. The Pulmonio Syrup.
Sea-Weed Tonic and Mandrake Pills, all took right
hold in the right place. The Pills brought away
.groat quantities of bile and slime ; the Sy run loos
ened the matter in my longs, which came off very
free; the Sea-Weed Tonic gave me anappotite, ard
everything seemed to taste good.
To show what groat power the medicines have in
purifying my system, and to show bow bad I was
diseased, besides all the bile that 'passed my bow
els, and the great quantities of phlegm and matter
I expectorated, I broke out all over in largo-be' a,
that would continue to gather and run for about six
weeks, and I had at one time over twenty-five blip's.
I have nothing of the kind now, and feel like an
other person altogether. I can safely say that I
have not enjoyed such health for five years as I do
now, 'and cannot praise you and your medicines
enough. May God abundau.ly bless and preserve
you! is the sincere deelie of one who has boon so
miuderfully relieved through your agency; and it
any one desires to know with regard to the truth
fulness of this report, if they will call upon any of

Allentown, July 18, 1805-Iyr
Scrofula, or King's Evil;
is a constitutional disease, a corruption of the
blood, by which this fluid becomes vitiated,
)
weak, and poor: Being in the circulation, it
pervades the whole body, and may bur out
in disease on any part of it. No organ s free
from its attacks, nor is there ono which it may
not destroy. The scrofulous taint it, variously
caused by mercurial disease, low living, dis
ordered or Unhealthy food, impure air, filth
and filthy habits, the depressing vices, and,
above all, by the venereal infection. What
ever. be its origin it is hereditary in the con
stitution, descending" from parents to children
unto the third and fourth generation ; " indeed,
it seems to be the rod of Him who says, "I
will visit the iniquities of the fathers upon
their children."
Its effects commence by deposition from the
blood of corrupt or ulcerous matter, which, in
the lungs, liver, and internal organs, is termed
tubercles; in the glands, swellings; and on
the surface, eruptions or sores. This foul cor
ruption, which genders in the blond, depresses
the energies of life, so that scrofulous constitu
tions not only suffer from scrofulous com
plaints, but they have fur less power to with
stand . the attacks of other diseases; conse
quently vast numbers perish by disorders
which, although not scrofulous in their nature,
are still rendered fatal by this taint in the
system. Most of the consumption which de
cimates the human family has its origin directly
in this scrofulous contamination; and many
destructive diseases of the liver, kidneys, brain,
and, indeed, of all the organs, arise from or
are aggravated by the same cause.
One quarter of all our people are scrofulous ;
their persons are invaded by this lurking in
fection, and their health is undermined by it.
To cleanse it from the system we must renovate
the blood by an alterative medicine, and in
vigorate it by healthy fond and exercise.
Such a medicine we supply in
AYER,'S
ME
Compound Extract of Sarsaparilla,
the most effectual remedy which the medical
skill of our Ones can devise for this every
where prevailing and fatal malady. It is com
bined from the most active remedials that hove
been discolored for the expurgation of this foul
disorder from the bloat', and the rescue of the
system from its destructive consequences.
Hence it should be employed for the cure of'
not only Scrofula, but also those other affec
tions which arise from it, such ns ERUPTIVE
and SKIN DISEASES, ST. ANTHONY'S FIRE,
Ron, or BILYSITT.LAS, Pimer.os, PUSTULES,
BLOTCHES, BRAINS and Bolls, To MOIL% TETTER
and SALT RIMINI, SCALD HEAD, RINGWORM,
RHEUMATISM, SYPHILITIC and MERCURIAL DIS
EASES, DROPSY, DYSPEPSIA, DIIIIILITY, and,
indeed, All. COMPLAINTS AWNING MOM VITIA
TED on "NITWIT: BLOOD. The popular belief
in . 1 impurity of the blood" is founded in truth,
for scrofula is a degeneration of the blood. The
particular purpose and virtue of this Sarsapa
rilla is to purify and regenerate this vital fluid,
without which sound health is impossible in
contaminated constitutions.

Ague Cure,
FOR TIIE SPEEDY CURE OF
Intermittent Fever, or Fever and Ague,
Remittent Fever, Chill Fever, Dumb
Ague, Periodical headache, or Bilious
headache, and Hiltons Fevers, indeed
for the whole class of diseases originat
ing In binary derangement, caused by
the Malaria of Miasmatic Countries.
We are enabled here to offer the community a
remedy which, while it cures the above complaints
with certainty, is still perfectly harmless in any
quantity. Such a remedy is invaluable in districts
where these afflicting, disorders prevail. This
"Cunt;" expels the miasmatic poison of Felten
AND Anon from the system, and prevents the de
velopment of the disease, it taken on the first ap
proach of its premonitory symptoms. It is not only
the best remedy ever yet discovered for this class
of complaints, but also the cheapest. The large
quantity we supply for a dollar brings it within the
reach of every body ; and in bilious districts, where
FEVER. AND Anon prevails, every body should
have it and use it freely both for cure and protec
tion. A great superiority of this remedy over any
other ever discovered for the speedy and certain
cure of Intermittents is that it contains no Quinine
or mineral,. consequently it produces no quinism or
other injurious efteets whatever upon the constitu
tion. Those cured by it aro left as healthy as if
they had never had the disease.
Fever and Ague is not done the consequence of
the miasmatic poison. A great variety of disor
ders arise from its irritation, among which are
Neuralgia , Rheumatism, Gout, Headache, Blind
ness, Toothaehe, Earache, Catarrh, .Asthma, Pal
pitation, Painful A ff ection of the Spleen, Hyster
ics, Pain in the Bonds, Colic, Paralysis and De
rangement of the Stomach, all of which, when
originating in' this cause, put on the intermittent
type, or become periodical. This Conn " expels
the poison from the blood, and consequently , cures
them all alike. It is an invaluable protection to
immigrants and persons travelling or temporarily
residing in the malarious districts. If taken occa
sionally or daily while exposed to the hifection,
that will be excreted from the system, and cannot
accumulate in sufficient quantity to ripen into dis
ease. Hence it is even more valuable for protec
tion'than cure, and few will over suffer from Inter
mittents if they avail themselves of the protection
this remedy affords.
