Beef Cattle during the past week has continued good, and the quality of cattle sold has been very fair. The arrival at Win. L. Torbert's Avenue Drove Yard. amounted to 550 beeves, 4,600 sheep, 400 hogs, and 120 cows and calves. The, beeves sold readily at from 89 to 89,50 and $lO per 100 lbs. A few extra ones from Ohio were sold by Mr. Van Leer for $10,50 per 100 lbs. Sheep were •in demand, and sales were brisk at from $3 to $3,75 and 4,00 per head, extra at $4,25. Stock sheep sold at from $2,- 60. to $2,75 per head. Good lambs brought from $3 to 83,80. Tho majority of the sheep 4vere from Western Pennsylvania and Ohio. dogs sold slowly at from $7,80 to 8,25 per 100 lbs. The sales of COWS and calves have been brisk at from $25 to $5O per head, according to qual ity.
