From Nov. J Newton Brown, D. D., Editor of Encyclo

Although not disposed to favor or recommend Pat

why a man may not testify to the benefits he believes
himself to have received from any simple preparstioN
in the hope that he may tittle Centri9l49 19 the bene fi'

I do this more readily in regard to "Hooiland's German
Bitters," prepared by Dr. 0. M. Jackson, of this city,
becaus I was prejudiced against them for years, ander
the imputation that they were chiefly an 1114flhelte
tare. lam indebted to my friend, Robert ;Shoemaker,
Dag , for the removal of this prejudice by proper teats,
and for encouragement to try them when suffering from
great and long continued debility. The use of three
bottles of these Sitters, at the beginning of the present
year, was followed by evident relief and restoration to a
degree of bodily and mental vigor which I had net felt
for six months before, god had almost despaired of re
gaining. I therefore thank and my friend for di
resting me to the lute of them.

be readily cured by Hoofland's Glenn= Bitters. We have
so hesitation in stating that if these Bitters 'Were freely
