In the June number of the Garden's Montl Z
we find the following hints relative to the
. presehl care of grapevines :
"rapes coming in bearing should not be
permitted to perfect large crops of fruit -While
young. It is exiMsable to fruit a %nob or so

more should be permitted till the vine has age
and ptrength. Vigorous growth, and great

This property is e.tuated on the Juniata river, in Mifflin
and Huntingdon counties, Pa., within one mile of Mount
Union Station, on Pennsylvania railroad. The Juniata
canal and Pennsylvania railroad pass through the pro
perty. It embraces about Twenty-seven Hundred Acres
of land, about three hundred acres of which is good
farm land, in a high state of cultivation; the balance
is good timber land, would Supply sufficient charcoal for
the furnaces The improvements &resigned eubstantlal
Femme, Stack, Steam Engine Iron Blowing Cylinders,
&c.,with all the necessary bu i ldings . There is on this
property an extensive bed of Iron Ore, being identical,
in the g eologic.' series, that at Danville and
Bloomsburg. This ore can be mined and delivered at
the furnac:s for about one dollar per ton. Limestone
in abundance of good quality, on this property. The
extensive coal fields of the Broad Top and Alleghenies
are from forty to fifty miles distant, by Pennsylvania
railroad or : canal t and the canal running through the
property makes it one of the best locations for the
manufacture of iron, dither with coke or anthracite.
In addition to the charcoal, the buildings for the fur
nace and faint are ample, substantial, and in good repair.
