aches may be au:Billed under two names, via : Symptoma
tic and Idiopathic. Symptomatic Headache is exceedingly
common and is the precursor 01 a great variety of diseases,
among which are Apoplexy, Gout, Rheumatism and all
febrile diseases. In its nervous form it is sympathetic of
disease of the stomach constituting rick licariackc, of he
patic disease constituting bilious headache, of worms,
constipation and other disorders of the bowels, as well as
renal and uterine affections. Diseases of the heart are very
frequently attended with Headachea; Anaemia and plethora
are also affections which frequently occasion headache--
Idiopathic Headache is also very common, being usually
distinguished by the name of nervous headache, sometimes
coming on suddenly in a State of apparently round health
and pros .rating at once the mental and physical energies,
and in othdr instances it comes on slowly, heralded by de
pression of spirits or acerbity of temper. In most Innen •
ces the pain is in the front of the head, over one or both
eyes, and sometimes provoking vomiting; tinder this class
may also be named Neuralgia.
For the treatment of either elan of Headache the Ce•
phalic Pills have been found a anre and safe remedy, relie

power eradicating the diseases of which Headache is its

Constipation or Costiveness.
No one of the "many ills flesh is heir to" is so prevalent,
so little underatocd, and so much neglected as Co..tiveneell.
Often originating in carelessness or sedentary habits it it
regarded as a alight disorder of too little consequence to
excite anxiety, while in reality it is the precursor and
companion of many of the most fatal and dangerous &s
-asses, and unless early eradicated it wilt. bring the cnfferer
to an untimely grave. Arneog the lighter evils of which
costiveness is tie usual attendant are Headache, Colic,
Rheumatism, Foul Breath, Piles and others oft ke nature,

Fovea, Alesesses, Dysentery, Diarrhata, Dyspepsia, Apo

Melancholy and Insanity, first indicate their presence in
the system, by this alarming symptom. Not unprequently
the diseases named originate in Constipation, but rake on
an independent exietenee unless the canoe is eradicated in
an early stage. From all these considerations it follows
that the disorder should receive immediate attention when.
over it occurs, and no person should neglect to get a box
of Cephalic Pills on tha Brat appearance of the complaint,
as their timely 11E0 will expel the insidious approaches ef

AN aperient and Stomachic preparation of IRON part
tird of Oxygen and Carbon by combustion in Hydrogen.
Sanctioned by the highest Medial Authorities, both in
Surope and the United States, and prescribed in their
prat*ie a.
The experience of thousands daily.provea that no pre
paration of Iron can be itomo , red with it. Impurities of
the blood, depression of vital energy, Pile and otherwise
si 'lvy complexions, intlic.de its necessity in almost every
case.
Innoxious in all maladies in which it hail been tried, it
has [.roved aitkaut e ty eur.ttive in each of the following
complaints, viz:
IN DEBILITY. NERVOUS AFFECTIONS, EMACIATION, DYS
PEPSIA. CONSTIPATION. Di -EMMA, hYSENTERY, INCIPIENT
CONSCHIPT.oN, Stied FCLOUS TUBERCULOSIS, BAt T RHEUM,
AIIeMENSTREATION. Ih RITES, CHLOSOSTS. LIVER tiOMPL.AINTd,
CHRONIC , filtAmsoapl3, BEST/AUTISM, INTERMITTENT FEVERS,
P Thins 8 ON THE FACE, 4103.
In c>•ses of GENERAL DEMLITT, whether the result of
acute disease, or of the continued diminution of nervous
.end muscular energy from chronic coo plaints. one trial of
this restorative has proved successful to an extent which
a. liexerip ion or written attestation weal , render ore ib le .
thy. lide so long bed ridden as to nave become forgotten in
their own nrighboi hoods, have suddenly re-appeared in the
busy world as ii just returned from protracted travel in
distant land. Rune very signal instances of this kind are
attested of femal. fluffererti, emaciated victims of apparent
ma isaimus, sangialueous exhaustion, critical changes. and
that COM, tie O. nervous and dyspeptic aversion to air
and exercise for which the physician has no name.
In NERVOUS, AFFECTIONS of all kinds, and for reasons
familiar to medical men, the operation of this preparation
of iron must necessarily be salutary, tor, unlike the old
oxides, it is vigorously tonic, without being exciting and
overheating p and gently, regularly aperient, even in the
moat obstinate came of costiveness. without ever being a
gastric purgative, or inflicting a disagreeable sensation.
It is this latter property, among others, which makes it
so remarkably effectual and permanent a remedyfor Piles,
upon which it also appears to exert a distinct and specific
action, by dispersing the local tendency which forms them.
In Disrareis, innumerable as are its causes, a single box
of these Chalybeate Pills has often sufficed for the most
habitud cases, including the attendant Costiveness.
In unchecked Diseamea, even when advanced to DYSEE
confirmed, emaciating, and apparently malignant
the effects have been equally decisive and astonishing.
IS, the local pains, loss of flesh and strength, debilitating
cough, and remittent hectic, which generally indicate IN-
OrelaNT Consrmerzon, this remedy has allayed the alarm
of friends and physicians, in several very gratifying and
interesting instances.
In POROPULOUS TUBERouLoars, this medicated iron has
had far more than the good effect of the most cautiously
balanced preparations in iodine, without any of their well
known liabilities.
The attention of females cannot be too confidently invited
to this remedy and restorative, in the cased.peculiarly af
resting them.
in RHIMMATION, both chronic and inilammutory—in The
inter, however, more decided ly—it has been invariably well
reported, both as alleviating pain and reducing the awel.
tangs and atiffness of the joints and.masolee.
In INTERMITTILNT FEVERS it moat necessarily be a great
remedy and energetic restorative, arid its progress in the
new settlements of the West, will probably be one of high
renown and neeftdnem.
No remedy has ever been discovered in the whole history
of medicine, which exerts such prompt, happy, and fully
restorative 'effects. Good appe , ite. complete digestion,
cupid Requisition of strength, with an unusual disposition
for active and cbeerful eXereille, iininedintfily follow its use.
Put up in neat cat metal boxescontaining 60 pills, price
50 cents per box; for sale by druggists and dealers. Will
be sent free to any address on re,eipt of the price. All
letters, orders etc ehoold be addressed to

Read the following from the New York Courier:
Ram:mous BUSINESS FOR ONK NSW YORK MERONANT.
We are happy 1,. infer* our fellowLcitizens that there is
one place in our city where the physician, apothecary,
and country merchant, can go and purchase pure Wines
and Liquors. as pure as imported, and of the best quality.
We do not intend to give an elaborate description otthis
merchant's extensive business, although it will well re
pay any stranger or citizen to visit 17DoLrE0 WoLrE'i
extensive warehouse, Nos. 18, 20 and 22, Beaver street,
and NOS 17, 19 and 21, Markettield street. His stock of
Schnapps on hand ready tor shipment could not have
be'eu less than thirty thousand cases; the Brandy, some
ten thousand cases—Vintages of 1836 to 1856; and ten
thousand cases of Madeira, Sherry and Port Wines,
Scotch and Irish Whisky, Jamaica and St. Croix Rum,
some very old and equal to any in this country. He also
had three large cellars, filled with Brandy, Wines, sac.
in casks, under Custom-Ifouse key, ready for bottling.
Mr. Woire , a sales of Schnapps last year amounted to
one hundred and eighty thousand dozen, and we hope in
less than two years ne may be equally aucoesof with
his Brandies and Wines.
ills business merits the patronage of every lover of
his species. Private families who wish pure Wines and
Liquors for medics' use should send their orders direct
to Mr WOLFE, until every Apothecary in the land make
up their minds to discard the poisonous stuff from their
shelves, and replace it with WoLFE's pure Witilta and
Liquors.
We understand Mr. WOLFE, for the accommodation of
small dealers in the country, puts up assorted cases of
Wines and Liquors. Such a man, and such a merchant,
should be sustained against his tens of thousands of op
ponents in the United States, who sell nothing but imi
tations, ruinous alike to human health and happiness.
