Sir :--.1 take pleasure in stating that your "DIARRH(EA

imaginod. I was very much troubled with diarrhoea, and
could find nothing to help me in the least, until I took
your "MIXTURE."
I give you this certificate, hoping.that, if you see proper
to use it, it may be the means of extending a knowledge
of the matchless value of your medicine.
Very respectfully yours, H. B. JEFFRIES.

that dreadful and destructive habit which annually sweeps

mmedlately cured, and full vigor restermL
This distressing affection—which renders life miserable
and marriage impossible—is the penalty paid by the •ie
time of improper indulgence. Young persons are too apt
to commit excesses from not being aware of the dreadful
consequences that may ensue. Now, who that under
stands the subject will pretend to deny that the power of
procreation is lost sooner by those falling into improper
habits than by the prudent. Besides being deprived the
pleasures of healthy offspring, the most serious and de
etructiva symptoms to both body and mind arise.
The system becomes deranged, the physical and mental
functions weakened, loss of procreative power, nervoer
irritability, dyspepsia, palpitation of the heart, indigestion,
constitutional debility, a wasting of the frame, coagh, eon
rateption, decay mid death.

that were over known ; many troubled with ringing in the
head and ears when asleep, great nervousness, being
alarmed at sudden sound; bashfulness, with frequent
blushing, attended sometimes with derangement of mind
were cured immediately.
TAKE PARTICULAR NOTICE
These are some of the sad and melancholy effects pro
duced by early habits of youth, viz : weakness of the back
and llmhs, pains in the head, dimness of sight, loss of
muscular power, palpitation of the heart, dyspepsia, ner
vous irritability, symptoms of consumption, &a
litorrem.v.—The fearful effects on the mind. are much
to be dreaded—loss of memory confusion of ideas, do
presaion of spirits, evil forebodings, aversion to society,
self' distrust, love of solitude, timidity, &0., are some of
the evils produced.
YOUNG MEN
Who have injured themselves by a certain practice in

evil companions, or at school, the effects of which are
nightly felt, even when asleep, and if not cured renders

MARRIAGE,
Race ltbat a sound micad and body are the moat necessary
requisites to promoteconnubialbappiness. Indeed, with
out these, the journey through life beconos a weary pil
grimage ; the prospect hourly darkens .o. the view ; the
mind becomes shadowed with despair:and filled with the
melancholy reflection that the happPiess of another be
tomes blighted with our own.
DISPARE OF IMESIIDENCE.
When the misguided and Imprudent votary of pleasure
finds he has imbibed the seeds of this painful disease,
too often happens that an Minted sense of shame or the
dread of discovery deters him from applying to those who
from education and respectability, can alone befriend him.
He falls into the hands of ignorant and designing pretend
ers, who, Incapable of curing, filch hia pecuniary sub
stance, keep him trifling month after month, or as long as
the smallest fee can be'obtained, and tin despair leave him
with ruined health to sigh over hisgalling disappointment,
or, by the use of the deadly poison, Mercury, hasten the
constitutional symptom sof this terrible disease, such as taco
ti ens of the Head, hroat, Nose, Skin, eta, progressing
with frightful rapidity till death puts a period to his
dreadfufaufferinp by sending him to that andbroovere3
country from whence no traveler returns.
