CAPTALN:—According to directions received
from the Provost Marshal General's office, the
city of Barrisbnrg is to receive credit for 26
volunteers up to January:3l, 1864, and for
486 regtilars enlisted up to December 31, 1863.
15 volunteers have already been credited to
the City, and deducted from the.quota under
the call for 500,000. The reniain for de
duction from the quota assigned the city in
January 31st (which is 415, according to your
cxhibit, of that date) 11 volunteers and 486
regulars—giving the city a surphiS of 82 men
to be credited on the quota - that be as
signed to it under the last call for-200,000. ,
