Midi 1 must confess lam always incredulous WAS the
worth of new remedies, which are vaunted as speeihev ;
but this comes to us recommended so highly, that we
are bound to give It a trial.

May 2i1,1860.—1 will now exhibit to youtiii patient for
whom I prescribed Propylamine, and wa s then labor
tug under an attack of acute rheumatism. She has
steadily taken it In doses of 'three grains every two hours
(intermitting it at night.) The day alter you saw her, . I
found her much more ooMfortable, better than she si
ps:god to be tor a week or more, judging from her other
alum. (Tbo patient now walked into the room.) The
improvement has steadily progressed, and you cannot
MI to notice a marked change in the appearance of her
joints, !PM% are new nearly all of their natural else.—
Thee far our experiment would have seemed very son-

fore we can give a deckled opinion as to what le to be
the result.
Hors is another patient who was placed on the em of
medkins on Elunday last ; she hu long been

that iime with an acute attack supervening upon her
chronic Mamoru The wrists end knuckles were much

THREE DAYS LATER II
Mir Si, 11160.77 This is the Case of acute rheumatism

called year attention at our last clink& lobe is still very

In this case it has seemed to be followed by very sat

his skin, at present dry, though there has been much
sweating. His pulse is fall and strong, and about 90.
He has new used propynuinne itir twenty-four hours.
This gentleman is what may be called a strictly typical

and wet, and this exposure is followed by a feeling of

sweating, so generally idttendant on acute rheumatism.

Junk, 1860.—The next of oar convalescents is the

wan remarked was a fair opportunity, for testing the
worth of our now remedy, It was therefore steadily
given in.three grain duet every two bolus fbr foui days.
The patient has got along very nicely, and is now able to
stalk about, as you ace. Ido not hesitate to s.,y that I
have neves, seen as a case of acute rheumatism
so woo restored to health as this man has been, and
without being prepared to decide positive by as to the val

that In the oases In which we have tried the Chloride o

much earlier than under the treatment ordinarily pur
