Prioe. -•- • ANOTHER ATTACH ON GENERAL OURTIS ANTICIPATED. LATEST FROM GEN'L CURTIS. HIS ARMY SAFE AND IN GOOD CONDITION. The Enemy Whipped in Every Engagement. PROCLAMATION OF THE REBEL GENERAL HINDMAN. Camo, July Passengers by boat from Memphis report that. Gen. Price on Wednesday night moved a battry of artillery and forty forage wagons across the Mississippi at Cypress bayou near Napoleon. The battery was marked Hin dman, Little Bock. Another battery crossed on Sunday evening and squads of men from Ponola, Miss., were crossing in the same direction, apparently with a view of concentrating a force in Arkansas, perhaps to operate against Gen. Curtis. A special dispatch to the St. Lottis Democrat dated, Helena, Ark., July , l2, says: The advance of General Curtis' army under General Washburn reached here at 9 a.. m., taday, having left Clarendon, on the White river, yesterday, at 6 a. m., and male a forced march of sixty-five miles in a day and night; and Quarter Master Winslow will start for Memphis immediately to hurry down supplies. Gen. Curtis left Batesville on the 24th oh., with twenty days rations, after a halt of five days at Jaoksouport, to con antrate the forces on his out poste, took up , the line of march.— Ella entire command is now en route for this point. From eight to twelve hundred rebels under Matlack were on - our front, who fired on the fo rage trains from the Canebrakes, barricaded all the roads leading southward with trees felt ed by negroes, and placed every conceivable obstacle in our way, but we overcame them all and the army is safe. We had a number of skirmishes on the route, in all of which the rebels were whipped with considerable lose to them, but with few casualties to our troops. Jut 7th. 7 -001. Hovey, of the 88d Illinois, with parts of four companies of his regiment, four companies of the 11th and a battalion of Indiana cavalry routed two Texas regiments at a point between Cotton Plant and Bayon Coache, with a loss to them of one hundred and ten killed. Our loss is five killed and seven wounded, We suffered much with thirst, there being no springs, but rations were plenty, and the army is in good health and spirits. All the sick and wounded were brought along. The inhabitants along the route were im bittered and urged into hostilities by the fol lowing proclamation : Lcrrre lloox, Arkansas, June 24. 2b the People of .4;kattsas: The Yankee Gen. PHILADMIECA;JuIy 17 A despatch was received at Wilmington, Del aware, on Wednesday, that some two hundred of the rebel prisoners confined at Fort Delaware had made their escape during Tuesday night, either by swimming from the island or obtain ing assurance from friendly boatmen. The de spatch was sent from New Castle to the Master of Transportation at Wilmington, stating that five of the rebel prisoners had arrived at that place and had been furnished with clothing and then been sent to Wilmington by carriage. The train for Baltimore, leaving Philadel phia at 8 o'clock; tuok up five persons at Wil mington, supposed to be the parties that had escaped. The steamer Major Itaybold passea the fort yesterday, and an *nicer communicated with the vessel, but nothing was said aboutthe escape of prisoners.
