treated with propylamine, the drat of those to which I
called your attention at our last chute. She is still very
oowdbriable, and is now taking three grains thrice daily.
In this cue it has seemed to be followed by very sat

istic case of acute rheumatism, and if the result be eat.

He Is a seaman, set. 26 who was admitted a few days
ago. Has bee omissions' rheumatic pains, but not so as
to keep his bed, until eight days ago. The pains began
bible right knee, subsequently affected the left knee, and
later, the joints of the upper extremities. Theta Joints
are ell swollen, tense and tender. Ills tongue is furred ;
his akin, at present dry, though there has been mesh
irweadug. His pulse 11 fall and strong, and about 90.
He has now used propylamine fbr twenty-four hours.
This gentleman is what may be called& strictly typical
tau of acute rheumatism. There was exposure td cold
and wet, and this exposure is followed by • feeling of
°oldness, severe articular pain, beginning, as it Usually
does, in the lower Jetta/. There is fever and the profilist
sweating,uo generally atttesdarit on'suatsi rheumatism.
