Mr. Wir.sos, (Mass.) introduced a joint reso
lution to authorize the PreAdent to present
prize medals to entisted men in the army, navy
and marine corps, who have distinguished
themselves in war. Adopted.
On motion of Mr. Wusos, (Masa.) a bill for
the better organization of cavalry, was taken
up and passed. Tne Senate then went into ex
ecutive session.
