in, camp in Pennsylvania, was.revoked last
night by the War Department, after the most
active preparations had been made to carry it
into the most effective operations.
The plan now ordered to be adopted, Is for
the concentration of the entire force of the
Penxisyliania trocitts in the various camps of the
state in Camp Curtin, and from this point send
them forward on the line passed over by Gen.
Patterson.
Some of the regiments in camp in the east
had already started for Philadelphia en route
for the city of Washington, but orders have
been issued to change the route to this city,
Where they will begin to arrive during to-day
and tonight.
It is expected' that by Monday or Tuesday,
from eight to ten thomaud troops will be 'con

Special details of the .Iff:tits at Ball Baia have
ust come to hand, as follows :
Yesterday morning, previous to the approach
of our army to Centrevill.e, the enemy had re
treated to Bull Run, a few miles further south,
and had taken a very strong position, not a
great distance from Manassas Junction, ,
The fourth brigade of Geri. Tytei's 'division,
-under command of Col, - J. 43.43fdardiwn, of
the litichigan volunteers,: . coriiiiaing,..of the
second and third Michigan, -the fist' Massachu
setts and the twelfth New York regimerits, led
the march in advance of Centrevyle, just after
our occupation of that place: 'They were es
corted by two hundred cavalry; tuid'cr Captain
A.U.; Brackett, for reconnoitering purpose_.
On.nrriying at the height opposite. Bull Run,
in the rear of Centreville, they found a long
slope intervening, and in the distend°, on the
edge of the woods, the enemy could be seen.
General Tyler sent for an artillery force, for
the-purpose of dislodging: them When the
guns arrived, they were rapidly served by Lieu
tenants Babbitt and Benjamin. The first shell
dislodged a body of . cavalry from a grove, a
mile and a half distant. Andther of our bat
teries soon came up, and aided our fire.
The action commenced at half-past twelve
o'clock:, but the enemy did not reply., for half
an:hour, though they could be s..en ooncen
