The rebels have destroyed the Orange Rail road, and the Federal troops have destroyed the Hampshire and Louden Railroad, so that there can be no approach within twenty miles of Alexandria by railroad. The First Pennsylvania Regiment (Col. Pat terson's) are within the entrenchments on Ar lington Heights to-day. Two Lieutenants in the army, who had been ordered on active ser-ice, sent in their resig nation, on Saturday, to the War Department. They were not accepted, but their names were ignominiously stricken from the army list. Several men have come into Alexandria who have been drummed out of the Southern army for refusing to obey orders. They are Eastern men, who had been impressed into the rebel service. They say there are over 20,000 men within twenty-five miles of Alexandria.
