Unfounded Rumors Contradicted.
Capt. William M'Mullia, of the Independent
Itaugers,Arrested 0. A. Greiner, a secessionist
from Georgia, yesterday afternoon. The arrest
was made by order. of General Patterson. It
seems that the family ot. Mr. Greiner has been
living in Philadelphia for some months, but he
arrived only on Friday last, and put up at a
private boarding house in Arch street, Derr
Juniper.. In order that there would be no mis
take in utakiag the arrest, Capt. McMullin took
hoarding attire house.where the suspected par
ty was, and satisfied himself fatly that the sue
pinion was well founded before he executed the
order of General Patterson. The arrest was
made on theallegation that Mr. Greiner beaded
the citizens of :Savannah, ,Georgia, and. drove
the United States forces .from Fort Pulaski.
The accused was taken to the office of the
