Dear Sin —W e have heard here today that the Ohio volunteers, en route for 'Washington city, were hospitably received at Harrisburg, and their comforts and necessities kindly pro vided for. And farther, that the ladies of your city furnished the boys with changes of clean linen and cures for the sick. As the father of one of the boys of company A. Capt. Oh, how thrilling the consolation to know, that when out eons, brothers, husbands, are gone to lay their lives on the altar of their country, and when they are beyond our reach, that they are kindly cared for, and if sick, friendly hands will minister to their wants, and gentle voices Booth their pains; and as far as possible, supply the place of a distant, but de voted father, mother, husband, Mater, friend.
