IMPURE BLOOD
The blood is the life I and when any tertian or un
healthy matter gets mixed with it, it is once distrbuted to
every organ of the body. Every nerve feels the poison,
and all the vital organs quickly complain. The stomach
will not digest the food perfectly. The liver ceases to
secrete a sufficiency of bile. The action. of the heart is
weakened, and so the circulation is feeble. The lungs be
come clogged with the poisonous matter ; hence a cough
—and all from a slight impurity of the fountain-head or
lile—the Blood t As if you had thrown some earth, for
instance, in a pure spring, frenrwhielvran a tiny rivulet
in a few minutes the whole course of the stream be,
comes disturbed and discolored. As quickly does impure
blood fly to every part, and leave its sting behind. All
the passages become obstructed, and 'unless the obstruc
tion is removed, the lamp of life soon dies out:
These pills not only purify the blood, but regenerate all
the secretions of the body, they are, therefore, unrivalled

PROF. 0. J. Woon: bear sir :—ln the latter part of the
year 1852, while attending the elate and National Law
School of the State of New York, my hair, from a cause
unknown to me, commenced falmg off very rapidly, so
that. in the short space of six mouths, the whole upper
part of my scalp was almost with ely bertft of its cover•

and back part of my head shortly alter became gray, so
that you will not be surprised when I tell you that upon
my return to the State of Indiana, my more casual tm

cause of the change in my appearance, as my more inti

I atone made application to the rcost skillful physi

them that my hair could again be restored, I was forced
to become reconciled to my fate, until, fortunately, in ti e
latter part of the year 1817, your Restorative was re
coinmendea to use by a druggist, as being the most re
liable Hair Restorative in use. I tried one bottle, and
found to my great satisfaction that it was producing the
desired effect. Since that time, I have used seven dol

BLOOD FOOD.
. .
The attention of Invalids, Physicians, Clergymen , scl;
entitle men, and the public generally, is respectfully
solicited to the merits of this chemical preparation, con
taining liron,Sulpinur and Phiesphorns and which
is identical m its composition with the Remake Globule,
or red blood. In all diseases accompanied with
Debility
pale, countenance and nervous derangement, analysis of
the blood show a deficiency of the red globules. Ruddy
complexion-and a rosy tint of the skin, is always indica
tive of health ; while a pale, was•like skin and counte
nance,—which evinces a deficiency of the red globules,—
accompanies a diseased organism. Preparations of Iron
have been given for the purpose of supplying the red
globules, but we contend that Iron alone, Sriliihrtr
alene„orrtniosphorns alone, will not meet the deft• .
cienoy in every case, but that a judicious combination of
sin %ebb' elements is necessary to Maori:, "the bloodlo its
normal Standard. This point, never, hefore attained, has
be it riddled in the Blood Fciod, and its discovery
ranks as one of the most scientific and important of the
'age. Its effects in
Consumption
are to soften the cough, brace the nerves, strengthen
the system, allay the prostrating night sweats, increase
the physical and mental energy, enrich the blood by re
storing the lacking red globules, increase the appetite,
restore the color, and clothe the skeleton frame with
flesh. The Blood .Food will be found a specific in all
Chi wale Diseases of the Throat or Lunge, such
as Asthma, Bronchitis, Coughs, &c. Public speakers and
singers will And it of great utility in chiarhig and
strengthening the vocal organs. In Dyspelisia ' Liver
Comp/aints, Dropsy, Epilepsy. Paralysis , 'Scrofula, Gratis;
SE. Vitus' Dance, lever and ..4gue _&c., its efficacy is
marked and Instantaneous. In no - clafis of disedie, how
ever, are the beneficial effects of this remedy so con
spicuous as in those harrasiing
Female. Complaints
to which the.,gentler sex are liable, and which tend to
wards Consumption, such as suppressed or difficult
Affenitruntiorylareen Sickness, Whites 4 0 especially
when these complaints are accompanied 4
with paleness,
a drily - Due or pallor of the skin, depression of spirits,
debility, palpitation, want of appetite, and nervous pros
tration, We have the utmost confidence in recommend
ing the Blood Food to all who may be conscious of a
loss of vitality or energy, and to those whose mental or
bodily powers are prostrated through over-use, either of
the mind or body, and we deem it our duty to say that
in all eases of Weakness and. Emaciation, and in all dis
eases of the _Kidneys Bladder, this preparation has a claim
upon the attention of sufferers which cannot be over-es
timated. A faithful trial will be found the most convinc

With the above remarks,
and with the numerous testi
monials we have in its favor, we offer the "Blood
Food" to the consideration of the afflicted, knowing that
it will be acknowledged as pre-eminent over all other
preparations, patent or official, in point of usefulness.—

TER AMAIGANATToN of LANGIUGYS.—There is a grow

corporate them into our own ; thus the word Cephalic,
which is from the Greek, signifying "for the head," is
now becoming popularized in connection with Mr. Spald
ing's great Ilea:dacha remedy, but it will soon be used in
a more general way, and the word Cephalic will become
as common as Fleet!, type and many others whose dis•

- HEADACHE is the favorite sign by which nature
makes known any deviation whatever from the natural
state of the brain, and viewed in this light it may be
looked on as a.saleguard intended to give notice of disease
which might otherwise escape attention, tilt too late to be
remedied; and its indications should never be neglected.
Headaches - may be classified under two names, viz
Symptomatic and Idiopathic Symptomatic Headache Is
exceedingly common midis the precursor of a great vs•
riety of diseases, among which aro Apdplexy, Gout,
Rheumatism and all febrile diseases. Ia its nervous
form it is sympathetic of disease of the stomach consti

ders of the bowels, as well as renal and uterine affect
ions. Diseases of the heart are very frequently attend

Headache is also very common, being usually distin
guished by the name of nervous ,headache, sometimes
coming on suddenly in a state of apparently sound health
and prostrating at once the mental and physical energies,
and in other instances it comes on slowly, heralded by
depression of spirits or acerbity of temper. In most in
stances it comes on slowly, heralded by depression of
spirits or acerbity of temper. In most instances the pain

sometimes provoking vomiting; under this class may also
be named Neuralgia.
For the treatment of either date of Headache the Ce
phalic Pills have been found a sure and safe remedy, re
lieving the most acute pains in a Jew minutes, and by its
subtile t ower eradicating the diseases of which Head
ache is the unerring index.
