P mast be obvious tot only to you, but to every atten

for the alleviation and cure of these diseases, a remedy
,itnown as
DR. EATON'S
INFANTILE CORDIAL,
Prepared from a formula used by Dr. Eaton with re
inariratile success 'during several year's practice, we
know it to be a most reliable and.eflicaCious remedy for
Mantle complaint!, and one trial alone will convince
you of its superiority over every other preparation of the
kind. "It is particularly recommended'
For- Children Teething.
And at this period of infantile life, when your anxious
hearts are pained by witnessing the sufferings of your
little ones, it will be found invaluable in Softening the
gums,Reducing Injiamination,and:Relieting ail Pain.
For Diseases attending. Teething, such as
Piarrhtia;.Dyientery, Grifiing in the Bowels, Acidity of
the Stomach, Wind, Colic, and Coal in the Head, .we con

case when given in tithe: 'lt - will invariably regulate the
stomach and bowels, and its importance in this respect
can hardly be estimated.
In - Convulsions,

andlnighting-consequences which are certain to result
from the use of narcotics disguised in the form of quiet

variably followed by• stupefaction, and constipation of
the bowels, ending oftentimes in +convulsions. Herein
EATON'S forearm Comm. differs from every other

Tea AMALGAMATION OF LANGUAGFS.—There is a grow
ing tendeney in this age to appropriate the most expres
sive words of other languages, and after a while to in
corporate them into our own ; thus the word Cephalic,
Which is from the Greek, signifying "for the head," Is
now becoming popularized in connection with Mr. Spald
ing's great Headache remedy, but it will soon be used in
a more general way, and the word Cephalic will become
as common as Electretype and many others whose dis
tinction as foreign words has been worn away oy com
mon usage until they seem "native and to the manor
born "
'ardly Realized.
Hi 'ad 'a 'orrible 'eadache this hafternoon, hand I
stepped Into the hapothecaries hand says hi to the man,
"tan you hease me or an 'eadacher ' , Does it hache
'ard" says 'a. ‘'Hexceedingly," says hi, hand upon that
'e gave me a Cephalic Pill, bend 'pan me 'onor it cured
me so quick that I 'ardly realized I 'ad 'ad an 'eadache.
WirlisenAcHS is the favorite sign by which nature
makes known any deviation whatever from the natural
state of the brain, and viewed in this light it may be
looked on as a safeguard intended to give notice of disease
which might otherwise escape attention, till too late to be
remedied; and its indications should never be neglected.
Headaches may be classified under two names, viz :
Symptomatic and Idiopathic. Symptomatic Headache is
exceedingly common Laidig the precursor of a great va
riety of 'diseases, among which are Apoplexy, Gout,
Rheumatism and all febrile diseases. In its nervous
form it is sympathetic of disease of the stomach consti
tuting sick headache, of hepatic disease constituting bff
lions headache, of worms, constipation and other disor
ders of the bowels, as well as renal and uterine affect
ions. Diseases of the heart are very frequently attend
ed with Headaches, Amami* and plethora are also affec
tons which frequently occasion headache. Idiopathic
Headache is also very common, being usually distin
guished by tne name of nervous iteadache, sometimes
coming on suddenly in a state of apparently sound health
and prostrating at once the mental and physical energies,
and in other instances it comes on slowly, heralded by
depression of spirits or acerbity of temper. In most in
stances it comes on slowly, heralded by depression of
spirits or acerbity of temper. In most instances the pain
is in the front or use head, over one or both eyes, and
sometimes provoking vomiting; under this class may also
be named Neuralgia.
For the treatment of either class of Headache the Ce
phalic Pills have been found a sure and safe remedy, re
lieving the most acute pains in a few minutes, and by its
sub tile power eradicating the diseases of which Head
ache is the unerring index.
PIUDGET.—Miesus wants you to send her a box of Ce
phalic Glue, no, a bottle, of Prepared Pills, —but I'm
thinking that's not just It neither; but perhaps ye'll be
either knowing what it is. Ye see she's nigh dead and
gone with the Sick Headache, and wants some more of
that Fame as relaived her belore.
Druggist.—You must mean Spalding's Cephalic Pills.
• Bridget...lt I sure now and you've Red it, here's the
quarter and giv me the Pills and don't be all day about
it either.
Constipation or Costiveness.
No one of the "many ills flesh is heir ti" Is no preva
lent, so little understood, and se much neglected as Co&
tiveness. Often origitatingin careleFsness, or seden
tary habits; It is regarded as a slight dis Order of two little
consequence to excite anxiety, while In reality it is the
precursor and Companion of many of many of the Most
fatal and dangerous diseases, and unless early eradica
ted it will, bring the sufferer to an untimely grave.—
Among the lighter evils of which costiveness is the usual
attendant are Headache, Colic, Rheumatism, Foul Breatn,
Files and others of like.nature, white a long train of
frightful diseases -such as Malignant Fitment, Abcesses,
Dysentery, Diarrhoea. Dispepsy, 'Apoplexy, Epilepsy,
Paralysis, Hysteria, Hypochondria/do, Melancholy and
Insanity, first indicate their presence in the system by
this alarming symptom. Not unfrequently the diseases
named originate in Constipation, but take on an rode,
pendent existence unless the cause is eradicated In an
early stage.,-From all theencousiderations It follows that
the disorder should receive immediabs attention when
ever it occurs, and no person should neglect to get a box
of Cephalic Pills on the first appearance of the complaint,
as their timely use will expel the insiduous approach o
disease and destroy this dangerous foe to human life.
A Real Blessing.
Phytietan.—Mrell, Mrs. Jones, how Is that headache?
Mrs. Jants.—Gone I Doctor, all gone I the pill you sent
cured me in just twenly minutos, and I wish you would
send more so that I can Dein them handy.
physiticti...—You can get them at any Druggists. .oall
for Cephalic Pills, I find they never fail, and r rocom•
mend thenf in' all eases' of Headache.
NTS Jones.—l shall seial for a box dtreetly, xnd.shall
tell all my suffering , friends, for tbey are a real blearing.
Twrers.kirtuoss OF Demme even.—Mr. Spalding has
sold two millions of bottles of his celebrated. Prepared
Glue and it le estimated that each bottle saves at least ten
dollars worth of broken furniture thus making an aggro.
gregate of twenty millions of dollars reclaimed from total
loss:by this valuable invention. Having made his Glue
a household word, he now proposes to do the world still
greater service by* Wing all the aching heads with his
Cephalic Pills, and if they are as good as his Glue, Head,
aches will soon vanish away like snow inJuly.
garOvsk Examuttrr, and the mental care and ankle. ,
ty incident to close attention to business or study, are;
among the numerous sautes of Nervous Headache. The'
disordered state of mind and body incident to this die
tressing complaint Is a fatal. blow to all energy and am
bition. Sufferers by this disorder can always obtain
speedy relief from these distressing attacks by.using one
of the Cepludie Pills whenever the symptoms appear.—
It quiets the overtasked brain, and soothes the strained
and jarring nerves, and relaxes the tension of the sto
mach which always acconipaniesand aggravates the dis
ordered condition of the brain.
FACT WORTH KNOWlNG.—Bpalding'a Cephalic Pills ,are
a certain cure for Siclc Headache, Ballot's Headache,
Nervous Headache, Costiveness and General Debility.
Grimm ,Discovsur.—Among the most important of ail
the great in edio al discoveries. of this age 7rt4ay, be con
sidered the systein'of vaccfnitation for protection 'from
Small Pox, the cephalic Pill. for relief of.Beadache, and
the use of Quinine for the prevention of Fevers, either or
which is a sure specific, whose benefits will be experi
enced by Entering humanity long after their discoverers
are forgotten.
IKirDm . yon ever, have the Sick Ftendache?.Do you re.
member - toe throbbing 'the feiered brow, the
loathing ands disgust lathe sight of Rio& Row totally
unfit you were focpleasure, conversation or study. One
of the Cephalic Pills would have relievedYou'from !Intim
suffering which you then experienced. For this and
other purposes yon should always haVe a box of them on
hand to use as occasion requires.
