Aqr HaADAeIIE is the faverde sign by which nature
makes mown any deviation whatever from the natural
state of the brain, and viewed la this light it may be
looked on as a safeguard intended to give notice of disease
which might otherwise eicape attention, till too late to be
remedies; and its indications should never be neglected.
Headaches may be classified under two names, viz:—
Symptomatic and Idiopathic) Symptomatic Headache is
exceedingly common and is the precursor of a great va
riety of ‘tiseases, among which are Apoplexy, Gout,
I.heumatism and all febrile diseases. Is Its nervous
form it is sympathetic of disease of the stomach consti
tuting tick headache, of hepatic disease constituting btl-
Hoes headache, c f worms, constipation end other disor
ders of the bowels, as well as renal and uterine affect
ions. Diseases of the heart are very frequently aloe&
ed with lietdaches, Anaemia and plethora are also affec
t ons whit h IrequeLtly occasion headache. Idiopathic
Headache is also very common, being in ually distin
guished by the mms el met-sous headache, somet;mes
coming on suddenly in a state ~f apparently sound health
and prostrating at once the mental and physical energies,
and in other instances it comes on slowly, heralded by
cepa., onion of spirits or acerbity of temper. In most in
wee mei it corm son slowly, heralded by depression of
spirits or acerbity of temper. In most inaances the pain
is in the front of the head, over cue or bole eyes, and
sometimes p; evoking vomiting; under this class may also
be tamed Nem atAct.
For the treatment of either class of Headache the Ce
phalic Pills have been found a, sure and sate remedy, re
lieving the most acute pains in a tow minutes, sad by its
subtiLi rower eradim ting the diseases of which Head
echo is the unerring index.
LIUDGET.—Minus wants yes to send her a box of Ce
phalic Clue, no, a bottle of Prepared Pills,—but I'm
thinking Witt's rot just it neither; but perhaps ye'tl be
af , .cier knowing whzit it is. Ye ste she's nigh dead and
gore with the sick Headache, and wants some more of
that Fame as relaived her bei ore.
Druggist.—You must mesa Spalding's Cephalic Pins.
Briciskt —Oeh I sure row and you've sed it, here's the
quarter and glv me the rills and don't be all day about
it either.
Constipation or Costiveness.
No one of the "many ills fiesti is heir is so prelim
lent, so little underatood;and to much neglected as Cos.
tiveness. Often origb sting carele-saes, rr seden
tary habits; it is regarded as a slight disorder of two little
consequeuce to excite anxiety, while in reality it Is the
precursor and companion of many of many of the most
fatal and dangerowt diseases, and unless early eradica
ted it will bring the sufferer to an untimely grave.—
Among the li,_hter evils of which costiveness' is the usual
attendant are Headache, Oilie r Rh euin aisui , Foul Breatn,
Files and Piers of like nature, wbi.o a lung train of
frightful diseases such as Malignant Fevers, Abcesses,
Dysentery, inarrlmea. Dyapepsy. Apoplexy, F-pilepsy,
Paralysis, Hyste la, Dyi oehottirtteis, Melancholy Old
Insanity, fleet indicate their presence in the system by
this alarming symptom. Not unfrequcntly the diseases
namia originate in C natipation, bat take on an inde
pendent existence unless the cause is eradicated in en
early stage. From all these considerations it follows that
the disorder shutild receive immediate attention when
ever It occurs, and no person should neglect to get a box
of Cot Italic Fills on the first appearance of the complaint,
as their tionel. use will expel the inshluous approach o
disease and destroy this dargerOus fee to human life.
A Real Blessing.
Physician.—Well, 'Mrs. Jones, how is that headache?
Jiro Aws—Goce I Doctor, all gone I the pill you sent
cored me in just twenty minutes, and I wish you would
send more. no that I can have them handy.
Phyeiciatt.—You can get them at any Druggists. Call
for Cephalic Yiila , I find they never Mil, and I recom
mend them in all cases of Headache.
Sirs Tones —I shall send for a box directly, and shall
e.i all my suffering friends, for they are a real blessing.
TWENTY MILLIONS OF DeLLANs Bevan —Mr. Spalding has
sold two millions oi bottles of his celebrated Prepared
Glue and it is estimated that each bottle saves at least ten
dollars worth of broken furniture, thus making an aggro
gregate of twenty millions of dollars reclaimed from total
loss by this valuable invention. Having made his Glue
a household word, he now proposes to do the
world still
greater service by curing all the aching heads with his
Cephalic PEP., and if they aro cs good as his Glue, Head
aches will soon vanish away like snow inJuly.
AVt.Ovilt EXOIII3II2IT, and the mental care and anxie
ty incident to close attention to business or study, are
among the numerous causes of Nervous Headache. The
disordered state of mind and body incident to this dis
treeing complaint is a fatal blow to all energy and am
bition. :Sufferers by this disorder can• always obtain
speedy relief from these distressing attacks by using one
of the Cephalie Pills whenever the symptoms appear.—
It quiets the overtasked. brain, and soothes the strained
and Jarring nerves, and relaxes the tension of the sto
mach which always accompanies and aggravates the dis
ordered coneition of the brain:
ram WORM KNOWLVlL—Spaldines Cephalic Pills are
a certain cure tor Sick 'Headache, Billions Headache,
lierveius Headache, Costiveness and General Debility.
Grier Discovstm.A—Among the most important of ail
the great inecileal discoveries of till's age may be con
sidered the system of vacefonation fcr protection from
small Pox. the Cephalic Fill for relief of Headache, and
the use of Quinine for the prevention of Fevers, either of
which is a sure specitlo, whose benefits gill be experi
enced by et ffering humanity long after their discoverers
are forgotten.
Aar DID you ever have the Sick Headache? Do you re
member toe throbbing temples, the fevered brow, the
loathing, and 'disgust at the sight of food. How totally
unlit yon were for pleasure, conversation or study. One
of the Cephalic Pills would have relieved you from all the
suftPrirg which y0.. - then experienced. For this and
other purposes yon 'should always have a box of them on
hand to tee as occasion requires.
