It is particularly recommended to time pawn' whose
constitutions may have been impaired by the continuous use

PROP. :Noon : Thee wilt please accept a line to Inform
thee that the hair on my head all fell off over twenty
years ago, caused by a complicated chionic disease, at
tended with an eruption on the head. 'A. continual course
of suffering through life having reduced me to a state of
dependence, 'I having not been able to obtain stuff for
cape, neither have I. been - able to do them up, in conse
quence or which my, head hus suffered extremely from
cold. This I nduced me to pay. Briggs St Hodges almost
the last cent' had on cuulhlbr a two ,dollar bottle Of thy
Ilats Restorative about the brit of August last. I have
faithfully followed the directions and the bald spot is now
covered with hair thick and black, though short; it's al•
so econing in all over my head. Feeling r candldent that
another large bottle would restore. it entirely and per

PROF., O. J. Wool": Dear Sir :—ln the latter part of the
year 1862, while attentinig the 'Elate and . National Law
School of the State of New York, my, hair, from a ulnae
unknown to me, commenced falling off very rapidly, so
that in the short space of six months, lhe whole upper
part of my scalp was almost entirely bereft of its cover

that you will not be surprised when I tell you that upon
my return to . the State of Indiana, my "more casual se

cause of the change in my appearance, as my more inti

I at once made application to the most skillful physi

Sanctioned by the bigbes: Medical Autboritie., out), in
Europe and ti e Uniteu ewes. at d prescribed in Weir

The experience of thousands daily proves flint no pre
paration of Iron can be compared with it. Impurities of
the blood, depression of vital energy, pale and other
wise sickly complexions indicate its necessity in almost
every conceivable case. Innoxious In all nudad.es in
which It has been tried, it has proved absolutely cura
tive in each of the following complaints, viz :
Debility, Nervous Affection., Esnanelpa

in case of General Debility. whether the result
of acute disease or of the continued diminttion of ner
vous and muscular energy from chronic con plaints; one
trial of this restorative has.proved successful to an ex
tent which no description nor mitten attestation would
render credible. Invalids so long bed-ridden as to have
become forgotten in their own neighborhoods, have sud
denly re-appeared in the busy world as if Just returned
from protracted travel in a' distant land. Some very
signal Instances of this kind are attested of female suf
ferers, emaciated victims of apparent marasmus,- san
guineous exhaustion, critical changes, and that complica
tion of nervous and dyapeptic aversion to air and exer
cise for which the physician has no name,
In Nervous Affections of all kiwis, and fbr rea
sons familiar to medical men, the operation of this pre
paration of Iron must necessarily be salutary, for unlike
the old oxides, it is vigorously tonic, without being ex
citing and overheating, and gently, regularly aperient,
even in the most obstinate cases of costiveness, without
ever being a gastric purgative, or inflicting a disagreeable
sensation. •
It is this latter property, among others, which makes
it so remarkably effectual and permanent a remedy for
Pilo, upon which it also appears to exert a distinct and
specific action, by dispersing the local tendency widen
forms them.
In Dyspepsia innumerable as are because'. &single
box of these ( lal ybeate Pills has often slaked for the
most habitual cases, including the attendant Chigoe:nem
In unchecked Diarrhoea, even when advanced to
Dysentery, confirmed, emaciating, and apparently ma=
lignant, the effects have been equally decisive and as
tonishing.
In the local pains , loss of S
ash and strength, debili
tating cough, and remittent ! hectic, which generally indi
cate Incipient ConsuMption, this remedy has al
layed the alarm of friends and physicians, in several
very gratifying and interesting instances.
In Scrofulous Tuberculosis, this medicated iron
bast bad far more than tie good of the most cautiously
balanced preparations of iodine, without any of their well
known liabilities.
The attention of females cannot be too confidently In
vited to this remedy and rateratire, In the cases peculiar
ly affecting them.
In Riterunatlinn, both chronic and inflammatory—
in the latter, however more decidedly—lt has been In
variably well reporte d, both as alleviating pain and re
ducing the swellings and stiffness of the joined muscles.
In intersinillttent Fevers it must necessarily be a
great remedy and energetic restorative, and Its progress
in the new settlement of the west, will probably be one
of high renown and usoftilness.
No remedy has ever been discovered, in the whole his-
Uiry of medicine, which exerts such prompt, lbappy and
hilly restorative effects. Good appetite, complete diges
tion, rapid acquisition of strength, with an unusual dis
position for active and cheerful exercise, immediately
follow its use.

MOTHERS
P mast be obvious not only to you, but to every atten
tive and intelligent person, that the first diseases of in
fants arise chiefly from a disordered condition of their
bowels, and in this connection, we present to your notice
for the alleviation and cure or these diaoares, a rowel).
known as
DR. EATON' S
INFANTILE COIIDIAty
Prepared from a formula used by Dr. Eaton with re
markable success during several year's practice,, we
know it to be a most reliable and efficacious remedy for
Lniantile complaints, and one trial alone will convince
you of its superiority over every other . preparation of the
kind. It it partioularly recommended
For Dhildien Teethin g.
And at this period of infantile life, when your anxious
hearts are pained by witnessing the sufferings Of your
little ones, it w.ll be found invaluable in Softening the
Gums, Reducing inflammation, and Relieving ail Pain.
For Diseates wtteriding Teething, such as
Piarrhaa, Pysenterg, Griping in the Bowels, dciaty of
the Rlotsach,. Wind, Colic, and Coed in the. Head, we con•
tidently offer this as a certain relief and cure in every
case when given in time. It will invariably regulate the
stomach and bowels, and Its importance in this respect
can hardly be estimated.
In Convulsions,
from which more infanta are said to die than from. any
other disease, the little sufferer is relieved as instimfane
cagy, as if by magic; and Irrteb dread coinplaint alone,
its intrinsic value is se at it has been recommended
froni'one family to anoth until the name of D. Eat
on's Infantile Cordia ' S become 4, ntmillar as a
household word." We no your attention to a sub
ject of vital interest to yourself, as ' well as to you r suffer

Of any kind, or of whatever nature, oar abaci which we
are /idly warren/al in stating casinos be-said of any Weer
preparation for mfantik diseases, at this time before the

and blightingsconsequenbes which are certain to result
from the use of narcotics disguised in the form or quiet•
lag remedies ; their continued adminiatration being In
variably followed by stupefaction, and Mmatipation of
the bowels, ending oftentimes in convulsions. =Herein
Da. Earoze's Uranus Comma. differs from every other
remedy. It
Does Not .Constipate
the bowels, neither does it act by deadening the sensi
bilities of your.children, but naturally, through its rare
Medicinal qualities, by removing all pain and cause of
disease. We earnestly recommend you, lberefore, to
lose no time in procuring a bottle, that you may have at
hand a remedy which will never fall to relieve your
